Sweet hilly green space where I enjoyed my Christos Gyro on a rock. Not much seating in some parts, so bring a blanket.

A few great things about this friendly park on the hill. First, it has a huge slope where you can sunbathe or sled in the winter. Hmm, that should be sunbathe in the summer, sled in the winter. Secondly, there is a very popular dog park which is fenced off and a very good size, as public dog parks go. Thirdly, the fall foliage is really spectacular. Fourthly, there’s a good cut-through path from Riverdale Ave. to Johnson Ave., but I’m not sure I would go through it in the dark because it’s not super-well-lit. Despite that, it’s a safe neighborhood park, high school bullies and loiterers are at a minimum and the population is friendly. I’m going to upload some photos so you can see what I’m talking about. Happy parking!
