There service sucks, they are very rude and have me sitting there for about 25mins waiting to be served, they give attitude as if they don’t want to be at work… I feel they discriminate if your not fully Spanish cause they attend Spanish speaking people way more quicker then non speaking people

I was in the area and grabbed some quick lunch to go. I had the $ 6 lunch special of rice and beans and chicken. It was a nice amount of food for $ 6. I saw a lot of people enjoying their meals at the tables. I remember having a few questions but the women behind the counter didn’t speak English that well. The food was good, not the best and not the worse. But can you really complain for $ 6. I would definitely eat here again if Im in the area.

The food here is simply delicious !!!
They have many options of spanish food including breakfast.
The prices are amazingggg; $ 6 for a complete order of lunch.
Unfortunately they recieved 4 stars because customer service isnt too well.
Some of the ladies working there are pretty rude.
They just need to work on that !

Cheap and tasty this is home style food. When Anthony Bordain came to the Bronx he should have taken the 2 or 5 train one more stop to 3rd Ave and 149th street, instead he went to that awful fake soul food place that’s really a bar. This is what normal people eat; you pay $ 5.99 for chicken with a healthy portion of rice and beans. If you order the mini chicken comb get leg and thigh it’s usually really moist. During lunch time this place is really busy, but be patient they’ll get to you. Don’t be afraid to get on the train and come to the Bronx, you’ll get your rice and beans quick.

This is a typical Spanish diner like you see all over the Bronx. They have a pretty decent $ 5.99 lunch special– You get tons of rice and beans, with a couple of pieces of rotisserie chicken (your choice of light or dark meat) and a soda. I’m a big eater, but it’s usually enough food for me to have lunch for 2 days. The chicken is sometimes a little over-​cooked and you don’t get maduros (plantains) with the combo like you do at some other places, but otherwise I can’t complain.
