Bronx Eye Care Optometry

I am nearly disgusted with the service of this place. I went in because I need a new yearly supply of contacts. All in all everything went smoothly the day I purchased them which is January 26, 2016. February 10, 2016 I returned and ask where my order was, I was told that my order wasn’t complete but that they had my trail contacts. I took the trail lenses and wore them for about two weeks. I go back and let them know that I have yet to receive my complete order and the disposable trial ones are almost at the two week mark. They give me a second pair of trial lenses. The new trial lenses were not my prescription therefore it was garbage. Now here is my problem. I called once every week and was told every single week that my contacts would be in the following week and that I would receive a call either Tuesday or Wednesday. Not once the whole month did I receive a call letting me know where my order was. Why am I the one tracking down my order. The day I purchased them I was told that it would take about 10 days NOT a whole month. Now I have been waiting for over a month for the contacts. It is now March 2, 2016 and I finally return. To my surprise my contacts are there. There are about 5 people working behind the counter yet it takes about 30 minutes for someone to take care of you, even though there are max 5 – 6 customers in the store. I DO NOT PLAN ON EVER GOING BACK !! EVER!

This is the most unprofessional and dismissive group of «professionals «I have ever encountered. They are inattentive and condescending towards customers and seniors are not excluded from their behavior. They have lists for eyewear pick up and optometrist screening; however they do not utilize the lists and call patrons at their leisure and discretion.
Please don’t let the newly renovated location fool you. Take your hard earned dollars elsewhere if you would like to be respected and valued as a paying customer.

DO NOT GO HERE, nasty and unprofessional! Will make you regret going!!! Everyone at d so had an attitude, when they weren’t playing on their cell phones ignoring you and eating, finally got a little help and she started an argument, nasty, threw insurance card at me when I said I was going elsewhere!

It was my first time at this optometrist and the experience wasn’t bad. I got a good deal on both glasses and contacts and the ladies were quite attentive to me, especially Jessica who helped with picking the right frames for me. The one thing I didn’t like much was the fact that they didn’t wipe the chin part of the machines in front of me. It’s the standard to do those things in front of the patient regardless if it was done before. Other than that I had a good experience and will most likely go back for the deals.

The receptionists are rude, the wait is always long… but that is not the reason I decided not to step foot in that place again. The reason why I would never go there again is that THEY LOST MY PRESCRIPTION!!! Moreover, they over charge for «shaving down» your glasses they charged $ 100.00 where everywhere else it’s 50.00 bucks. And to top it off, the Doctor had the nerve to scold me for not bringing in my old frames! DO NOT GO THERE.

I went in for contacts fitting. Tried to cancel my order due to the prescription strength and they refused. I didn’t even receive any contacts yet and they are unwilling to stop the order. Now I’m out of $ 340 +200 insurance coverage for a year supply of contacts that should cost $ 150 MAX. They swindle you out of you money and insurance by charging $ 50 – 75 per box!!! Don’t go there unless you have money to waste. I certainly will not be heading back there EVER again. They also have a location on Barstow Ave in the Bronx! I would STAY AWAY!
