Not worth it. Five dollars for a few salad leaves. I’m a vegetarian and found a small piece of chicken in my salad. Not sure what they are playing at, But probably won’t be coming here again.

If you work in this particular area, you are fully aware of the lack of healthy food choices. 149 Grill offers a salad bar with a variety of veggies. The price isn’t bad, I average $ 6 – 7, compared to a friend who works in East Village and pays $ 10. Over the last few months, the lettuce supply has decreased and I find myself with a bowl filled with other ingredients and a few strands of greenery. They lost a star for this :-(

They have a salad bar in which you choose what veggies you want to eat, the only downside is that at lunch time it gets really busy and the workers are extremely slow. But other than that one of the healthiest places in the area to buy lunch.

I sometimes work in this area, and when I am craving a salad, I come to this place. The salad is pretty good and fair price, and there are different options that you can have with your salad. I also am a fan of their grilled spicy chicken wrap.

GASFACEAWARD to 149th Street Grill– you lost me as a customer as of 4÷2÷12 horrible salad It made me sick… and you gave a co worker food poison! shame shame! I gave this place a chance since it was close to my job but after being sick 3x in 6 months that’s it. My poor coworker got sick for 2 days after eating salad and had to take off work.

Great greasy spoon breakfast spot. At lunch time you get custom salads. Good value for a low price.

I work in «The Hub» area of the Bronx and, despite it being a really busy vibrant intersection, there are pretty limited options for lunch, especially for a cheap, healthy meal. This place has an awesome salad bar with fresh avocado, all kinds of veggies, mandarin oranges, 3 different types of chicken, and several tasty dressings. I usually LOAD up my salad, but I’ve never paid more than $ 6. I always get the salad, but my coworker orders from the hot grill all the time and really likes it. Definitely a great spot to check out if you live or work in the area.

The best thing about this place is the salad bar. All of the optional fixings you could ask for, and the balsamic vinaigrette that they use is really good. I like their hot wings as well, but they use steak fries– which if you fancy crispy fries like myself, you have to specify that. Prices and addition of tax remind you of good ol’ Manhattan. It can get pretty crowded, and if your going to order from the hot grill, make sure they hear you, and that the guy puts the order through. If not, there is a possibility you’ll be waiting more than necessary.
