The 145th Street Bridge, located in New York City, is a four-lane swing bridge that crosses the Harlem River, connecting 145th Street and Lenox Avenue in Manhattan with East 149th Street and River Avenue in the Bronx. It once carried northbound New York State Route 22 and New York State Route 100. Additionally, this bridge, for its proximity to the eponymous avenue, was once named the«Lenox Avenue Bridge,» an original name that has fallen into disuse. The bridge is operated and maintained by the New York City Department of Transportation. Okay, above is the googled history of this bridge since I am the first reviewer I had to represent just a lil bit, whew the pressure! LOL. I’ve walked and driven across this bridge many times. It’s a small bridge that stays packed with traffic. A lot of people in the community take advantage of the easy access from borough to borough. The views aren’t the best and there’s not much to see in the area to go ooh and ahh or stop to take some photos. The best part of the bridge is that it’s free for vehicles for now and its a quick walk to either side of the Bronx or Manhattan.
