History

Established in 1984.

In 1984, Admiral Express opened in Tulsa as a small retail office supply store dedicated to providing customers with the ultimate in service and quality. When office supply superstores started to emerge in the Tulsa area, owner and president of Admiral Express, Al Yoak, decided to focus on selling supplies directly to businesses and differentiate himself by delivering a higher level of customer service virtually unseen in the industry.

Now five locations later, Admiral Express still maintains the highest standards for customer service and quality products. Our more than 60 employees are trained to discern and adapt to the needs of our clients, providing them with a fast, dependable, small town customer service approach they can rely on. Unmatched commitment to our clients has helped us become the largest independently-​owned office products supplier in the state.

As Seen in Tulsa World: «President and owner Al Yoak closed down profitable stores in Tulsa, Claremore and Pryor and instead opened an office to sell office supplies directly to customers.

Some two decades later, Yoak said, his company is as profitable as ever and in October opened a fifth location in Springdale, Ark.

„We knew Office Depot would take some of our business and they would spend so much on advertising that they would pull away even more customers,“ Yoak said. „So we decided to focus on what we could do better — same-​day delivery, better service and a focus on business customers.“

Admiral Express Office Supply is marking 25 years in business this month. With more than 60 employees and none lost in the last two years, Admiral Express now has offices in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma City and Springdale, plus Joplin and Springfield, Mo.»
