Specialties

We teach traditional Japanese karate, a complete martial art system and self defense program covering kata (forms), kumite (sparring), nage no kata (throws), kobudo (traditional weapons), self defense techniques and general endurance and conditioning. We teach strong ethical values and have a family atmosphere of learning and pushing each other to be their best. Teaching everyone 4 and up!

If you are looking to learn karate in a more traditional way, this is your place! This dojo is ran by some pretty awesome sensei’s that love to teach their style. Koei Kan has some great roots linked to Japan and strives to maintain the traditional aspect. They offer Kids classes (which is always a riot to watch them fight). Adult classes are personal and sweat inducing :) Other schools will give you the belt promotions you desire, but when it comes down to it, a belt doesn’t prove you are better then another person. You definitely earn your ranking. I trust my skills that I’ve learned at Koei Kan to protect and defend my self and I cant wait to take part in the Koei Kan Tai Kai!
