Good Samaritan Hospital

I have been at this hospital for several days. Every inch is immaculate. Every RN, CNA, MD Housekeeper and food service employee have gone beyond the level of service excellence. Every question has been answered promptly and all my needs and beyond have been met. I would recommend the Good Samaritan Medical Center to anyone.
I had several visits from clergy who listened to my woes followed by prayer.
Other personal assisted me with insurance, aftercare and general support.
Even the food was a good variety, served hot, accurately and promptly. And of course always with a smile. Including the person taking my meal order, polite, professional, patient and made suggestions.
Outstanding!

This hospital really really needs to improve !!! After waiting hours in the ER waiting room, I was brought back to a room in the ER just to sit there for another two hours and wait. Finally a doctor came in and didn’t introduce themselves, didn’t know if she was the doctor or the nurse and asked what my symptoms were. No one checked my vital signs when I came into the ER until almost 5 hours in. The nurse finally came into the room after I made a scene and didn’t say her name, angrily asked me for a urine after I told her that I was vomiting continuously. It wasn’t until 7.5hrs in the ER that I got something for nausea and an IV bag hung. At this point I was honestly contemplating on leaving and going to a better hospital. The hospital posts nothing but good reviews on their website but they need to read the bad reviews so they can improve. I understand the stress he staff my experience but it should never reflect when caring for patients. You shouldn’t enter any patient room with an attitude and dismiss the things patients are saying because without the patients you would be out of a job. I am a nurse too ! I have NEVER EVER treated patients the way the staff do at GSH. The way things are done are very unprofessional. Everyone knows that going to the ER is not a walk in the park but if you have great staff it makes the time there much better than if you are stuck with a group of unsympathetic people who could care less about the patients but more about what they are doing for EASTER !!! I wish I could give this hospital ZERO STARS !!!

May as well call it bad Samaritan. (Zing) This has to be the slowest hospital you can go to if you are in a life or death situation you can count on the doctors at good Sam to take their time. I’d say your average wait time from start to finish is going to average out about six hours. Very disappointing the Steward healthcare system is terrible in general do not let anybody tell you otherwise. If I could give less than one star I would.

Ok so I sat in this er for 5 hrs tonight after a fall, the nurses that I dealt with were really nice. But after I had got a catscan and a bunch of x rays they then decide to ask me if there’s any chance I might be pregnant and made me pee in a cup!?! I said but you already took x rays etc and he said well we still need to take a pee test ummm ok… so I’m sitting there when the male nurse comes back in and says ohh they took a xray of your ankle not foot so we need to take you back for more xrays, seriously !!! Keep in mind this same male nurse just wrapped my foot up over my sock at that, so it had to be all undid again! Very unorganized no communication and the lady that took me to radiology complained that all the other nurses just sit around doing nothing. Eeek stay away from here, trust me !!

Worst hospital ever… emergency is worse then any as there is no emergency care.
Patients lying on the bed forever waiting and staff roams around lazying for the test and no
organization and very ill care. staff not helpful fully chaotic. please avoid in any condition

This used to be a great hospital. I had been there with many older relatives and it was better than other service in the area. But now it has hit all time lows.
My Primary Care provider that is associated with this facility is horrible.
The office and waiting room looks like crap and he does only what the group demands. His staff is borderline unprofessional.
He gave me referrals to two other specialists in the group. I had to pay a premium but thought the care would be worth it and it certainly WAS NOT.
The staff at both of the specialists were rude, the waiting rooms and exam rooms were also in dire need of makeovers.
I then made appointments at other local practices and the facilities were more well kept, the staff was more polite and professional.
The old saying you get what you pay for is not true.
I paid more at Good Sam Stewart and was treated worse.
Money and the bottom line is what comes first here not the patient.
I thought that may be where medical care was headed till I found the other nearby provider that has this medical group beat hands down.
If I could give them negative stars I would.

I will never visit good samaritan again. in a 4 day stay i saw 7 different attending doctors and 2 specialists, each doctor’s appearance lasting under 3 minutes. I had to repeat my reasons for being there to each one and also several blood tests were performed more than once as each successive doctor didnt bother to see what tests the previous had ordered. Apparently there are no files for individual patients or something. I recieved conflicting diagnosis and had different doses of medicine administered. I had to repeatedly ask the staff for the reason and result of each test.
I never had the same nurse twice either. The nurses while competent did seem over worked and therefor unfamiliar with individual patients. Requests for simple things like water were often forgotten as they disappeared into the hallways.
I will never go back.

Was visiting Dad after some surgeries… Seems like any other hospital but he seems to like it so its A-​Ok with me!

Definitely avoid this hospital unless you are bleeding out at a rate of more than 1 cup per 10 seconds. I accompanied my 92 year old grandmother there at 10:45 on a Sunday night who was taken by ambulance for leg heaviness, difficulty walking, and leg swelling. As I walked into the ER I breathed a sight of relief, thinking that we would be out in 2 hours based upon the few rooms that were filled and the multitude of nursing staff visible on the floor. One friendly nurse popped in every 30 minutes or so to inform us that the doctor would be in soon…“soon” meaning in 3 hours. The doctor was very nice and had an excellent bedside manner, but she insisted on ordering a completely unnecessary test which involved calling in a technician from off site. No one person came in to check on us or tell us what we were waiting for or how much longer we could expect to be there. Also, a loud electronic tone sounded just above her head avery 60 seconds without cessation. It seemed to be associated with some sort of monitoring equipment which was not attached to her. Such a soothing atmosphere to reside in for 6 hours– electronic tone sounding every minute, cold room with one bedsheet, propped up at a 90 degree angle in bed… what better for an environment designed to promote healing. All night long, one additional patient was admitted to the ward. We had a nice time listening to the nurses outside the curtain complain about the hospital’s new system of having to punch out for lunch when they don’t get lunch («that’s totally illegal») and how there was going to be a class action lawsuit that would result in «a big fat check at the end». At around 3:45 AM the test was finished and the technician informed us that the doctor would be in shortly to discuss the results. At 4:30, the doctor came in to tell us that everything was normal and that a nurse would be in to walk her around a bit before leaving and to give us our discharge papers. 5:15 rolled around without a sign of future attention and at this point I stepped out to inquire about the next step of the discharge process. A nurse managed to leave her bustling station to read off the discharge instructions which consisted of irrelevant instructions about care of knee pain which she didn’t even have. All staff members were very polite to us and treated her very well during interactions. Inefficient management systems, poor communication, and a general lack of concern for patient ease and well-​being rendered this experience one to avoid at all costs.

Wonderful nurses, and doctors. The best care you can get. The place is well kept and clean all the way.
To rate a hospital over food is ridiculous with the previous complainers .
We were treated very nicely, and the nurses couldn’t be any better. Good Sam can match up with any hospitals out there.
We had our baby here, and will continue to go there.

I never knew you can get good service till I went to Brockton Hospital. Good Sam just plain sucks. They make you wait 3 hour + to be seen. The people are rude sometimes to you because their is most people in the waiting rooms

This cafeteria was disappointing. I’d like to think that the management thought more of their employees and customers than to serve food that was without flavor or appeal. So what if the committee organizing the menu tried to put a natural spin on their offerings. It’s still all junk food to me.
