This store is so beautiful. I love all of the different types of jewelry, art and more on the walls. The owner is so dedicated and friendly. They now carry Alex and Ani which is amazing! It is such a cute store in Brockport and I hope it never goes away! You must visit if you are out of town, or looking for a gift for someone! I love it.

What an adorable gift shop located right in the village of Brockport on Main Street! I don’t remember stores like this when I attended college there. It was good to be back and see life in the village even though students were on break. The store had adorable home goods, perfect for gifts or a secret santa exchange. There was so much to look at. Very reasonable prices made me a happy camper. I purchased a small Amy Sedaris«I Like You» platter with very comical packaging, and also a small crock to hold sugar, or «Shuggah» as it’s labeled. Did I go into the shop for those items? Nope. Was I happy with my random purchases? Yup! Sometimes unexpected shopping makes for great post Christmas purchases… for myself.

This store is wonderful and located in the most beautiful building. I can always find a gift for a friend or something for myself. I do not live near by but every year when my husband and I are visiting family out that way, we make it a point to stop in to Bittersweet! Great selection and friendly staff!

Bittersweet has a fun and eclectic selection of jewelry, clothing, and decorative housewares(pottery, pictures, tchotchkes). Style leans towards hippie/lacy/sparkly, but there is an occasional dash of industrial or classic as well. It’s easy to lose time browsing(and lose money as well!). A good place for gift-hunting, particularly for women in your life. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area — one of many fun shops on Brockport’s Main Street.

I’m not a big fan of country stuff or antiques, but I do like browsing through Bittersweet when I come home to Brockport for a visit. It’s got that hometown feel to it which makes it genuine. Plus, its located in an old historic building(which I believe used to be a bank), so it’s cool to go inside and look at the architecture and imagine what it used to be like a century ago. They have a lot of antique-looking items for your home, unique jewelry, and clothing(including some Life is Good stuff). At Christmastime, they offer a variety of ornaments, etc. It’s a pretty cool store overall and a good place to buy a gift. But for me, it’s more about the feeling you get walking into such a historic place.
