Best ice cream stopped and my mom and my niece and nephew liked if all. My mom got butter pecan and she said it was loaded with pecan and I love their vanilla cherry.

Regular fashion non fancy yummy ice cream. Flavors of the day are cool. Nothing unique but meets expectations and hits the spot.

Good ice cream, but when the soccer leagues show up to place their orders, another window should open for the rest of us. Only complaint is their service is slow, even when not that busy. Maybe a couple of tables would be nice in summertime.

Love love love this ice cream, my friend told me about it. It was everything she said it was and better!

Have revisted Handel’s a few times and have to change my review rating. This place is very good. Some flavors are better than others but Handel’s seems to pack a lot of chips, nuts, etc., into their ice cream. I personally love that. My favorite here: Banana nut.

Get the Handel’s banana pop! It’s like a giant scoop of their banana ice cream covered in chocolate, on a stick. We also sampled a few flavors — you could get 4 scoops as a sampler — pistachio, black raspberry(would pass if you don’t love raspberry), strawberry(standard), and butter pecan(yum).

My cone was melting when it was handed to me. I threw it in the trash within 30 seconds because it was dripping down my hand and inedible.

While their ice cream is top notch, their service isn’t. I was there earlier today and there was only one person waiting for their order and one other person in line in front of me. Yet it took almost 7 minutes for someone to come to the other window and take orders. It appears there were about 10 people working inside so I don’t know why their service is so poor. I can understand when there’s a line but this was not the case.

Handel’s is my go to favorite in the area. They have the perfect mix of old favorites and unique tastes. Rich, creamy and delish!

I’ve been to Handel’s many times over the years and I continue to be impressed with their ice cream. I am partial to the butter pecan on a regular cone. The taste and texture of the ice cream puts Dairy Queen and McDonald’s to shame.

Love, love, LOVE Handel’s!!! I would totally eat it every day if there was one near me. Banana cream pie is the BEST!!! They also have a sampler thing where you get 4 different scoops. It’s cheap, and I usually get that, but(sadly) I was still full from lunch.

Handel’s is by far the best ice cream place. A small scoop is like a double scoop. They have a long list of flavors. The chocolate peanut butter is divine. It has huge chucks of peanut butter in it, I also love the chocolate Oreo cookie. The chocolate is creamy and their is lots of Oreos in it. The pricing is very reasonable, I would recommend this place to everyone!

BESTICECREAM ever! My husband and I went here last night after we went to a movie. I always drive past this place but have never gone, and we’ve lived in the area for two years! Now I know that is two years of ice cream eating that’s wasted. The ice cream was so rich and creamy, much better than Honey Hut, which was a previous local favorite for me. I would definitely go back to Handel’s, maybe a couple times a week! They are open year round, which is great, but I guess you have to brave the cold in winter because they don’t have an indoor eating/ordering area. I got a parfait with vanilla ice cream and sour green apple ice(yummy!), which is very similar to a Gelati at Rita’s Water Ice. My husband ordered a chocolate peanut butter cup sundae with hot fudge, which was really good, too!

I like Handel’s. It’s not Honey Hut, but it’s good. Coconut Cream Pie, Banana Cream Pie are two of my favorites. Also, Graham Central Station and Butter Pecan.

Handel’s is the best ice cream I have ever had, bar none. The ice cream is rich and extremely soft. I believe it is stored in coolers only just below freezing. For that reason, I find it is not nearly as good once it has spent time in my home freezer. I’m not a peanut butter fan, but Spouse like a house with it’s peanut butter, chocolate, malt, and pretzels in vanilla ice cream. The Cherry Cordial is my current favorite, but the pumpkin roll inspired pumpkin swirl is also excellent. As a side note, when I first moved to Broadview Heights, Handels had an article from National Geographic posted in the window. The article list the top ten ice cream shops in the world, one in Spain, two in France, one in Italy, and not only was Handles one of three in the US, it was rated number one. I just googled, and of course Handel’s has it on the website.

Forgive me, oh Coffee Chocolate Chip Ice Cream God, I have forsaken thee. In my original review I mentioned how CCC is my all-time favorite, but, but, BUT a temptress has been thrown into the mix! Here’s the deal: If you love caramel ice cream with the yummiest pretzel chunks embedded throughout, you owe it to yourself to give this amazing flavor a try. It is simply heavenly. I was told today, though, that it’s not(yet) a permanently available flavor, so I urge you to 1) get it before it goes a way and 2) keep getting it so it NEVERGOESAWAY!!! Yowser. That is some seriously good stuff.

Best Ice Cream ever and lots of choices(ice cream, milkshakes, Handel pops and lots more on their menu! Usually good service. They have a few benches for you to stay and eat. Sometimes you have to wait in long lines because there are a ton of people there, but it is usually staffed very well and they use all ordering windows when needed making the wait a ton less. Definitely worth going here if you like/love your ice cream!!!

Handel’s is one of those places that I’ve been driving by every day thinking«I really gotta try that place out soon.» Sure enough, a couple weeks ago, I did. I was surprised that they have NO inside for customers, you order from a window outside of the building. I like my ice cream plain for the most part, so I got a chocolate milkshake — simple, yet perfect. I however, immediately regretted my choice seconds later, because it was only then that my eyes caught the flavor of the month: Buckeye! AKA, vanilla, chocolate and peanut butter dancing around together inside my mouth. I’ll have to return soon to try that one out. Anyway, the milkshake was awesome, so I’m giving a thumbs up.

Handel’s is a great place to get homemade ice cream, even in the middle of a snowstorm(which is when we went). This location is at the intersection of 82&176. One thing that stands out at Handel’s is that you order outside. The only thing inside the buildings is where the ice cream is made. That’s what makes it stand out that we went there during a snowstorm. It was all worth it though. There are tons of flavors, many of those being very creative. I ordered the black raspberry and really enjoyed it. I have to say it wasn’t quite as good as this black raspberry ice cream I had in Vermont, but that was different, so I’m not including that in my rating. Just as a bonus, if you have a dog with you, you can get a free«doggie cone» which is a really small cone with vanilla ice cream in it. Overall, if your looking for great ice cream in Northeast Ohio as well as a couple of other areas around the country, stop into Handel’s. You won’t regret the calories.
