After trying their donuts and loving them, I decided to call in on the way to work to ask them to put a dozen donuts of their choice in a box so I could grab them and run them in for the team. Picking all of the topping and waiting for the frying etc… Takes a bit more time than I have when grabbing donuts for the shop. The response«we only allow pre orders of 3 dozen or more»… Oooook… Just needed some in a box? Oh well. «I’ll be there in five minutes». Get there, and am told that they ran out of donut batter at 9am. Three people are walking out the door with donuts. Good donuts, but that is some pretty terrible service.

Now this is truly an experience! I’ve been a couple of times and enjoyed both visits. It’s nice to be able to select exactly how you want each donut prepared and then watch at they freshly fry one up then finish it to your order. The flavor of the cake batter is awesome and the toppings are truly the icing on the cake! I can see what the attraction to this place is and why they’re successful. I look forward to going back for many, many more!

Friendly every time I’ve come in. Looks very clean. The donuts are very good, but different tasting. Hard to explain, but seems like a good breakfast item.

Tried Duck Donuts for the first time and they were really good when fresh. I thought it was cool to customize your own donuts with a variety of glazes and toppings. My favorite were the French Toast. I took some to work and my coworkers and boss destroyed them. I, personally, like fluffy donuts, but they were still worth trying.

Worth the price at 1.25 each if you buy a single. Freshly made and done. I wasn’t expecting them to be this good since people always seem to exaggerate when something is decent. Recommend this place!

So glad they opened up in Bristow. How can one basic donut taste so good.

Amazing donuts– always cooked to perfection. Great local place with a room for meetings and clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is up to par too. I love the chocolate and coconut!

I had to see what the hype was about. Ok, so you can customize your donuts but besides that, the actual donut is a bit cakey. Don’t trip, I love cake, but uhhh not for my donut. We ordered half a dozen for a sleepover for my sister’s sleepover. They loved the selection(Reese’s, almond joy, pink lemonade, strawberry shortcake, basic a$$ vanilla and chocolate with vanilla and chocolate). The staff was so nice and helpful. Price point is ok, but I’d rather order from Dunkin donuts

Have been in again a few times. They really seem to have worked out a lot of the kinks. They don’t have all of their«daily special donuts» listed anymore, so it narrows down the choices, which is better. You can still order whatever you’d like, though, so that’s great! The employees on duty the other night were super kind and talkative. One of the girls making the donuts even offered to make her favorite donut for my kids, since we were taking about flavor combinations. It was very kind of her, but we didn’t need it, so we said we’d order it next time to try. Only real complaint is that the donuts can taste a little oily at times. And I do wish they had an option of yeast or cake. I’m just not a cake donut girl :/They have seemed to improve from our last visit, though!

I think the donuts are delicious. However, we did experience poor customer service one of the mornings we came in. We arrived a little after they opened so it wasn’t busy at all. We put in our order and then waited patiently for our donuts. We expected the donuts to be showed to us, but the girl behind the counter quickly closed the box and didn’t check to see if they were to our liking. When we opened them, only two of the five were correct. I could understand rushing if there was a big crowd. I think its bizarre that they wouldn’t make sure the order was correct before closing the box(something they normally always do).

Best donuts ever!!! So crispy and fresh ALWAYS. At first I was a little hesitant about this place, I imagined cold, hard, cake donuts(like the one that you get at Walmart or Safeway) but I was surprised, it’s so delicious! Now I love love love this place. I will continue to come back again and again. Even though it’s a little pricey(one donut for $ 1.25) but it’s totally worth it. I highly recommend this place.

To everyone complaining, I’m glad you’re taking your business elsewhere since it makes the lines shorter. Though the wait is worth it to me. This is the only company in the area serving warm, made to order donuts and I’m always happy with my purchase. They’re always super soft which I love. Much better than those generic, mass produced waxy things you can get a dunkin or from your grocery store. But I suppose there will always be a complainer somewhere. Give this place a try, I’m 99.99% sure you’ll love it.

I’m not a big fan of their product. There was a slight oily taste in the donuts, the strawberry frosting tasted nothing like strawberry. I prefer lighter, more yeasty donuts than cakey, and this place serves them cakey. The line is out the door(probably from being so new), you get in and out in no less than 25 minutes, and the price is on the expensive side. The staff is nice though. I recommend you try it once — it could be tasty to you, but their product simply is not tasty to me.

This review and rating is NOT based on the donuts, this is 100% associated to the customer service experience I received this AM, having placed my order the previous day, stating it needs to be ready for 6:15, 6:20 at the very latest, can you imagine my annoyance when I arrived at 6:20 to be told that«We don’t have your coffee buckets», asking why I didn’t receive a call that there was a problem, so that I could have made alternative plans, I was met with silence… NOTGOOD! To compound the experience, the donut order wasn’t ready, when I asked for an update, one of the servers passed my ticket to a co-worker and said«I don’t have time for this»… Finally left close to 6:30, wondering if I will ever return!

My moms family comes from Massachusetts so we’ve always been a Dunkin donuts family. I also like Krispy Kreme but that’s beside the point. I had always heard great things about Duck Donuts. I’ve only been to the outer banks once and we didn’t make it, so when they opened some in Virginia I was really excited. When I got there I saw that no matter what kind of icing and topping combo you got all donuts were the same price. That led me to be adventurous and get a maple bacon donut. It was so rich and filling I couldn’t even start the chocolate coconut I also got. My boyfriends lemon and strawberry iced were also delicious, but in a more traditional way. It’s a great place to go for a sweet treat!

Barbra Streisand. Wait what? Whoops, that’s Duck Sauce. Finally! I got to try one! Never have gotten the chance to. The donuts are small. However, got to try a warm strawberry donut and it was good! Not messy, very warm, but very tasty! Great first impression!

After seeing so many great reviews about Duck Donuts, I had to go and check out the hype. Coming from New York, I was spoiled with food and dessert options and had my share of donuts. So I walked in and was greeted by the amazing aroma of freshly made donuts and friendly staff. The atmosphere was very laid back and open and the workers were super nice. I liked that we could see the process of donuts being made from start to finish. We decided to get half a dozen which only came out to a little over $ 6 which was AMAZING($ 1 a piece?!!) compared to the $ 5 donuts I treated myself to in Manhattan. We ordered a bunch of different coatings and all 6 different toppings. After waiting around 10 minutes, our donuts were ready to be devoured. The first bite of the«French toast» donut was heavenly. It was so warm, light, cake-y, and not overly greasy. Im not a huge fan of bacon but the maple bacon was surprisingly REALLY good!

As I walked in the door, I was met by two greeters in white shirts. Being that I’ve never been to Duck Donuts before, they explained how it works. They suggested the Bacon Maple Glaze donut. I got a couple vanilla and the bacon maple. Although the place was packed, I watched them make my donuts and was out the door in 5 minutes. I went into CVS and when I came out my truck smelled magical. The donuts are amazing! I will definitely be back with the wife and kids!
