I have to give this place a four, because it is part of the neighborhood and it is run by people you want to know. If feels like home. I really respect things that transcend just the food you eat. This place has that and it is something you can’t buy. I decided to go here for dinner one night while my wife was out. It’s within walking distance of my house, so that’s a plus for me(and does play into my overall feeling of the place). The staff is super friendly, the lady(I wish I got her name) acted like family and you felt like family while you were there. The food was everything I expected and nothing special. It was a classic neighborhood bakery. I got a calzone that was pre-made in the refrigerator display case(I thought this was a good test to see how fresh they keep there product. It was hard to tell, when I got it home it was still a little cold, so I heated in my toaster oven, which gave it a nice crisp. Overall, I though it tasted good. Oh, I got a chicken bacon ranch, so once again it’s one of those things thats hard to make bad. I also got a salad, because I like to see how fresh the produce is. The salad was the run of the mill salad(with iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, and olives). Side note, I hate olives! I should have asked for no olives. Right, the salad was extremely fresh and I enjoyed it very much. I couldn’t have asked for more. Finally, I got this thing called bakery pizza??? Which, is a Rhode Island thing??? I know of it; my Aunt is from here, but pizza??? Come on. Maybe like sauce cover bread… honestly, I can’t come up with another name for it. Right so I guess it is pizza for a lack of a better term. Sorry Rhode Island, please forgive me. Either way it was tasty, I have nothing to compare it to, but it did not make me sad, mad, or sick, so I was happy as a clam. I am going back, it’s quick, it’s local, it’s like family.

Every time I go there I am more than pleasantly surprised people are always friendly the delivery is always prompt, the food is not overpriced and they do have a gluten-free option I suggest call ahead if you want a gluten-free anything with a crust. The pre made calzone is smart and convenient! Love this joint. I love the spinach and roni calzone so freekin good.

They have great pizza! This is our first meal once back in Rhode Island every time. It’s true they need to work on delivery service but the pick up service is quick and simple no off street parking but there are temporary spots.(15 minutes) but the pies make it worth it.

Parking situation is pretty bad. But the food is so awesome you should still give it a try! I used to live right around the corner from this place and went often. My family who now lives 20 minutes away from here still gets it because it’s that good! The traditional sauce pizza is great and anything from the ordinary bakery pizza but my favorite pizza from here is their white pizza with green peppers and onions! So good! We always order this pizza from here for our parties and everyone always loves it! Beside the parking situation I have had two other problems at this place and it was that they messed up the order and gave us pizza with pepperoni which luckily wasn’t a big deal, and the other issue was that one time while at my uncles place who lives in Bristol not far from here, the delivery guy couldn’t find his house and after waiting about an hour for delivery we had to cancel it. Was a pretty sad night because their pizza is pretty awesome. :/

Not a fan of the pizza my boyfriend and I purchased from here. We ordered something with onions on it(I think eggplant onion and red peppers?) and it was like biting into a whole onion with every bite. HUGE chunks of onion, not strips like I expected. I was grossed out. Really the only good thing about it was the crust… everything else resulted in a pizza sad face.

One thing I missed in the other reviews is… this is the place that makes the gross plastic bag cheese-less pizza you get at the gas station. The actual pies from the restaurant arent much better

I would not recommend this place. It’s unfortunate because the food is pretty decent, but DONOT and I repeat, DONOT order delivery!!! We have ordered from them multiple times and each time they have screwed up the order, badly! Tonight for example, they did not give us one of our ordered items and they showed up over two hours after we ordered… and they are only 15 minutes away. The food was really cold and again, we were missing items. Be careful, I would only eat here if I was actually going in to the place.

Love the pizza and calzones here. I’ve never dined it — just had take out. I wish I lived closer because we would be regulars. GREAT food! Definitely give them a try.

This place reminds me of the summers that used to last for ever. My friends and I used to ride our bikes around, each with a few bucks to our names, and we were always hungry. We could always depend on «Wood Street», as we affectionately called it, to fill our stomachs with the measly few bucks we had. And that happiness still stays with me when I stop by Wood Street. They always have a ton of different calzones and baked items. They have the best Sicilian-style Bakery Pizza I’ve ever tasted. That’s the«Red» as regulars and townies call them. They also have these amazing slices of «White» pizza with cheese, herbs, olive oil, a slice of bell pepper, and a slice of onion. And they have wieners. Delicious, snack sized wieners. Get a few, you won’t regret it.

Not much to say about this little bakery on Wood St. I’ll admit the only thing I’ve ever gotten from here are the cold pizzas whenever the wife and I have a football party. But the pizza slices are usually the first thing to go at our parties. I usually call the day before to place my order. It’s always ready to go when I pick it up. I am a BIG fan of the cold slice pizza. The crust is so yummy and the sauce they use is delish! Being that I live about 2 minutes from this spot, you’d think I would’ve eaten from here more. perhaps once I get past my cold pizza obsession I will experiment with some of the other choices on the menu. I’ve never had an issue with the staff as they are always very pleasant and personable. Seating is very limited if you decide to go in and eat. Some people have told me the calzones are some of the best in the area as well. Bottom line is I have never had a problem with this place nor the food I have had so far. Their cold pizza has me hooked… and I haven’t looked back since

We ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza(medium, half sheet, $ 18). Even my hungry brother could not polish this pizza off. It’s served on a cookie dish with the chicken pieces evenly spaced, one per piece, as if they were cookies themselves. The crust is crunchy and thick. The taste isn’t extraordinary but not blan either. Service was friendly and if I went back I’d probably pick up a cookie. The best part of the experience was the people watching. Sit outside and watch local charters shout salutations across the street, count the number of men in denim cut offs, and marvel at the motorcycle gangs as they roar through.

Seating is lacking The calzones are amazing Bring appetite This family run walk-in shop is a carry out favorite, especially the calzones. The ready-made ones in the case are small enough that you don’t feel bloated, big enough to be satisfying, and they come with enough diversity that you can keep coming back to try again! They make different sizes though, so you can certainly eat your fill if you want. My favorite is the spinach and pepperoni, but there are a lot of varieties, including a very good Chourico & Peppers. The shop itself might be miniscule, with only a scant few tables, but the menu is huge. Lots of specialty pizza’s, entrees and pastas. There are always specials going on, but if you’ve never gone, you must try a calzone of any variety. Don’t expect to get a table around lunchtime here, unless you’re very fortunate. There are only 3 tables(possibly 4) inside, and they only seat 2. They do deliver all around Bristol though, and if you’re in town for the day, it’s worth the walk through the park.

I’ve tried a thing or two from this place, since it’s right down the street from my work. They have pretty decent subs, their bread is always soft and fresh and they always have new creative specials on the menu. They’ve also got a display case of calzones and that weird cheese-less RI pizza that everyone loves so much. Also, pasta and your usual appetizers like breadsticks, mozzarella sticks, etc. I recently got a crazy special which was basically a spaghetti pizza(picture uploaded to Unilocal) covered in sausage. I’ll tell you what, that thing was a pile of carbs, but dang it was tasty. There isn’t much room for seating here, it’s more of a take-out place, but they do have a couple tables and a counter to sit at.
