Established in 1879.

Weider’s has been in business since 1879, orginally located in Rochester. It was then a harness manufacturing and repair shop. As the area’s need for horse-​related items decreased, the store became the largest hardware shop in the area. Green purchased the store in 1991 with his brother-​in-​law, and became the sole owner in 2005.

Weider’s Paint & PRO Hardware, was named the 2006 PRO Hardware Retailer of the Year by its distributor, The Bostwick-​Braun Company.

This award is given to the PRO Hardware store that has effectively utilized the marketing and merchandising programs that constitute the PRO advantage. Owner Ned Green and his staff have adopted the PRO philosophy of excellence and leadership, and offer customer service second to none.
