God, this was a bad experience. Old nail polish that just won’t dry. When I messed up the nail, she made me wait for a long time until she fixed it. It already took forever cuz the polish wouldn’t dry. Also she was super rude to the customer that came after me

Tanning and Nails is a decent place to get an inexpensive pedicure(only $ 20 versus Paris Model Nail which charges $ 25). However, I’ve had my nails done here twice and both times found that it took a really long time — like over an hour for a pedicure. I definitely like to be pampered a little while getting my nails done, but after 45 – 50 minutes I’m ready to get out of the chair. So if that something that bothers you keep it in mind when you head here. One other small grievance — last time I was here they cut my cuticles too short during a manicure and I had crazy amounts of hangnails for at least a week. That’s never happened to me before, and it made me a little weary of returning.

I have only been here once to fix a broken nail. I had a job interview the next day and wanted to look my best. I walked to my usual Paris Model Nails in a snowstorm only to find out they where closed. So I kept walking and found Tanning and Nails. They where open and could take me right in. It is nothing fancy, décor is tacky, smells like tanning lotion but hey I needed it fixed and this women is eager to help me who am I to judge. She spent over an hour on my manicure it looked fantastic. I was a little disappointed by the lack of colors and polishes. They have more Essie then Paris Model Nails but far few OPI colors. Most of there polishes are shades of pink and red. I will be back to try a pedicure in the future.

For quick, gorgeous and inexpensive nails, it doesn’t get any better than Tanning & Nails. They do an awesome job and can usually get you in on a walk-in, or give you the best time to come back so they can get you in and out with gorgeous nails. Their pedicure chairs are comfortable and the massage feature works pretty well. They always have piles of magazines — gossip, bridal, fashion — and they let you do what ever you want — read, talk, drink your coffee — without trying to talk your ear off. I go here a lot with my ladies and we tend to take over the salon, which they always let us do and they try and make sure we are all able to get things done in the same time frame. They have a great selection of colors and do a fabulous pink and white for nails or toes. Now, I didn’t want to let this secret out, but I am so dedicated to the Unilocal community that I will spill it — one of the women there does the best brow waxing I have ever had done. I have been to ridiculously expensive and dirt cheap waxers all across the country, but she does the best job at the cheapest price I have ever paid. She waxes, trims and plucks my eyebrows to perfection, and I always tip her 50% to encourage her to keep it up and show my undying appreciation for keeping my brows looking their best. If you have a wait, make sure to browse the cute shops on the row, or grab some delicious Greek food at Esperia across the street!

i like tanning. i also like a consistent good attitude when paying for a service, Unless I’m being a btch. i also like getting a tan when paying. this place was very very cheap for their one level type bed. but for two more dollars i see results and enjoy the owners and employees at my other place, which also happens to do nails wonderfully as well. simply put. Maybe they are fab when it comes to nails. maybe i will find out. i will let you know when i do :)

This is the only nail salon I will go to since I first discovered it about five years ago. The two ladies who work there are very nice and very obliging. There is minimal conversation when I go there, they concentrate on what they are doing. They have a steady flow of traffic at all times but they also take reservations. Their prices are the best around and it is just a very pleasant experience overall.

Went here for the first time last week and they did a nice job. It was your basic manicure/pedicure($ 30) but they didn’t totally rush you out like some places do. And the woman who did my nails took a lot of care to clean up every speck of wayward polish.
