Five stars for the decision to close. Not clear whether it’s for renovations(sorely needed) or a new venue.

I eat here 2 – 3 times a month. This really a great restaurant with a nice menu and reasonable prices.

While everything was fine, there is far better Thai to be had. The curry looked almost gray, and the vegetables in our home scallion dinner were not fresh. Most disappointing was the sauce that came with our spring rolls. It lacked the depth of flavor customary for this sauce, and instead was just salty. Atmosphere was very casual.

This is my favorite Thai place in Boston. First of all, it is delicious Thai food. The drunken noodles are my favorite. They nail the spicy level and cook everything perfectly. Secondly, the service is great. I always order for pick-up from eat24, and it is always perfectly prepared and hot when I get there. If you eat in the restaurant, it’s BYOB. Awesome.

Easily the BEST Thai food in Brighton if not all of Boston. And the friendliest service. Try the vegetable squares. No better Pad Thai outside of Bangkok.

The flavor and texture of this Thai food is spot on! They have been around for years and there is a reason– they are obviously a staple here in Brighton! The restaurant itself is a cute dining room– no bells and whistles, just a sweet owner and some calming Thai music that makes for a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Most customers rely on their booming take out system but eating in is a true pleasure. My favorites areTom Khar soup, sesame chicken, and basically any curry dish. Thanks for putting out constantly yummy food!!!

Delicious food, carefully prepared with balanced flavors and lovely presentation. Generous portions and attentive service. The price is right and we return often. Especially good for those who enjoy their vegetables crisp and their tofu steamed.

Thai food is my THING! I could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. I often have. This place is THEBOMB. Not only do they have delicious, consistent, and fresh food but the woman who works at the front counter is a doll. My favorites include the tofu with hot basil, the spring rolls, the masaman curry, and the tofu with lemongrass. They also have a delicious duck. Oh, and their tom yum soup is SOOOOGOOD! Their prices are lower than Thai north a few blocks away, and they have never messed up my order. For a Thai food snob, Sweet pepper is my go-to!

Typically pretty empty, so finding a seat isn’t a problem. Their lunch specials are great deals. I LOVE their tofu curry.

The food at Sweet Pepper was good. Not great but good. The host/cashier/waitress encouraged us to try the vegetable square and while we were skeptical it was pretty good. Strange but good! I had the pad see ew, my fave dish and it was good. Only 3 stars though because it took forever to get the food! We were the only two people in the restaurant on a Friday night and it took at least 40 minutes to get our dishes. There were tons of people coming in to order or pick up and were clearly geting their food first. Maybe next time we’ll get it to go?

This place is a hidden gem! Delicious Pad Thai, rice, soups and apps! While it does not look like the best from the outside, or even the interior but be sure to stop in! I live too far away for delivery so I use take out and the food is always ready and super hot even by the time I get home!

Mixed feelings on this place… The food was good… But it probably would have been better if we had been able to try it hot… Food took about an hour and a half and the first time we called to check(at one hour) the women who answered seemed puzzled that we hadn’t received our food and said she was calling the driver… 15 min later we called back and she said she was concerned it still wasn’t here and then said it was on its way… Then 15 later we called back and she said she was calling the driver… He finally arrived a few minutes later… Not usually a big deal but we are about a mile and half from the restaurant. So it took a bit long, and the food wasn’t hot when we received. I would normally ask for a discount, but we can’t really do that when we had prepaid with credit… The people were very pleasant, though… What we ordered –Scallion pancakes — great taste but cold… So probably would’ve been better –Butterfly shrim… Really good, a bit cold, kind of a lot of breading but still good, just thought they would be lighter. — from the wok… Tofu and cashew nuts with pineapple, mushrooms, carrots, and jasmine rice… Pretty good but a bit cold and the sauce could’ve been thicker… Needed a bit more flavor –mandarine crispy duck… Very good Great menu… I think we will try again but room for improvement.

My husband loves take out from this place, which generally doesn’t happen with Thai spots. I enjoy the very tasty lemon-grassy tomyum soup and the fresh seafood dishes. A solid choice on short money. Why not?

I love this place. The noodle dishes have been consistently awesome, I love their spring rolls and the service is friendly. Their menu is standard for a Thai restaurant in the US. I’ve never tried any of their other Asian menu items but I’ve heard good things from friends. The restaurant is generally pretty empty but I believe they have a bustling delivery service in Brighton. We’ve ordered multiple times and the food always arrives hot and in good shape. Like if you get a salad they don’t squash that on the bottom under hot dishes– shows that someone is thinking and caring about how the food arrives. One thing that annoys me about Unilocal are these reviews complaining without giving legit reasons, like complaining about a delivery fee or the décor being odd or the fact they are similar to other restaurants. These are weird complaints to make and sort of out of place. If you don’t want to pay a delivery fee, don’t order delivery. I don’t know any restaurant that doesn’t charge one these days. And I don’t know why you’d complain about the cashew tree decoration. Did it insult you on your way to the table? Steal your mint? Seriously, who cares! The food is great and the service is great. I feel like it’s hard enough to get a good representation of your business on Unilocal without odd complaints ruining your star rating. I would go to Sweet Pepper over all the nearby Thai places in Brighton/etc any day.

This is my go-to Thai food delivery spot. I have never been disappointed with anything that I have ordered so far. I think the scallion pancakes with spicy peanut sauce is amazing. This is by far, my favorite item on their menu. It is really greasy but it is soooooo good(and well worth the extra 5 miles of running)! I always have a craving for these oily pieces of yumminess. I really love their«Pikpow» chicken or beef, however the meat they use in the Pikpow chicken is more tender compared to the beef. Their beef macadamia has just the right proportion of veggies and meat and I absolutely love the sauce they use. Their crispy pad thai tastes amazing but it is a bit oily(as expected with anything deep fried). Maybe they should drain the oil first before mixing in the other ingredients? Their Tom Yum Soup is ok. It has the right amount of spice but I think they overdo the fish sauce a bit. It probably would taste better if they used half the amount of fish sauce(and if they don’t use fish sauce, something they add is making it taste fishy). My husband likes adding rice into the soup because it sucks up all the flavors. The crispy basil chicken would have been phenomenal had it not arrived soggy. Maybe this dish is best eaten in the restaurant instead of ordering it to-go or for delivery. Delivery time is fast(GrubHub), however they do charge $ 2 delivery fee for using this app.

This place has been great in the past, but they have been disappointing as of late. We’re now looking for a new Thai place…

I had a really pleasant experience ordering takeout from Sweet Pepper this weekend. I ordered the pad thai and the drunken noodle and both dishes were phenomenal. Sometimes when I order rad nah or drunken noodle from a thai joint, it comes way too soupy. But, their drunken noodle was perfectly stir-fried to perfection. I can’t speak to the dining in experience since I haven’t done that yet, but I have walked by the storefront enough to see that it looks like your typical Thai restaurant. I will definitely be frequenting Sweet Pepper going forward! I prefer it a bit over Thai North.
