History

Established in 2005.

I started the business as I myself am a collector of certain antique and vintage items. Brighton doesn’t have a real antique store, and I felt it needed one. With all the new growth occuring in the area, I also felt it could support such a business. We try to identify each item as best we can and make the prices VERY obvious to the customer. Some items are rare or unique, some more interesting than others, but all are reasonably priced.

As a collector myself, and someone who takes a serious interest in the business, I have found many shops I visited very disapoining. Often, they damaged the items with their pricing systems. At Second Time’s, we try our best to have a minimal impact on our wares by using string tags, sticky notes and other methods for pricing our items. Tape is used VERY sparingly when pricing so as not to mare any antiques and collectibles. These systems allow us to put more information about the item on the tag and tell you what you are looking at. We will let you know if we believe it is a reproduction, or if we know it to be the real thing. We do offer layaway, will set things aside for you if you don’t have the money at he moment. We know what it is like to want something and be a couple days away from payday. We are customer friendly. Our prices are based on what we paid for something, not what it is worth, top dollar, on the market today. Check out our website and take the virtual tour!
