History

Established in 2003.

Modulus began in Boston Chinatown loft specializing in commercial DVD authoring and 5.1 surround sound mixing. In 2007 we moved to our current spot along the sunny banks of the Charles river in Brighton, MA (right next door to Rule Boston Camera). There are two full-​fledged DaVinci Resolve color/​conform workstations, a 5.1 audio suite and several other stations for development, design, authoring, duplication and QC.

Modulus is great! Perfect combination of geeks and artists. They really know their technical stuff and are really great to work with. I’ve done a couple of projects with them and have always been really satisfied (something I can’t say about previous experiences with post houses).

I needed a Blu-​Ray done fast for a good price, but also needed serious QUALITY control as the Blu Ray was going to screen for 1,000 + people the same week. I found Modulus on Unilocal,and could not be happier with the experience. We were able to set a rate that was extremely competitive for Boston (and halved the rates LA-​area post-​houses were charging), and they were VERY responsive, emailing me back instantly and including a picture of the solution.
The staff (I talked with Eric) were extremely positive, KNOWLEDGEABLE people, and more in tune with my needs than the dozen name-​brand Los Angeles post-​houses I had already contacted.
Modulus will help you work through even the most complicated situation, and they will absolutely be my 1st-​Choice recommendation for East Coast post.

I was working on a video project for work at the last minute, but didn’t have time to produce 150 copies of the final version nor to print decent labels for them.
I called up Modulus with only a day’s notice, and they were able to do the duplication project and adhere all the labels (using a thermal process that looks really terrific). The project came out HOURS ahead of deadline, and the entire office came up to shake my hand, introduce themselves, and thank me for using their services.
Also, the prices were really reasonable for duplication services, and the customer service was oustanding to boot.
