I wanted to find a cute little thai restaurant that opens late, and I came across this one. I’m so glad I did because this place has become one of my new favorites to get thai. The service here is excellent and the food is bomb. I would recommend the @Chili Thai Wings, Tom Yum Soup, and Pineapple Fried Rice. Also, get the thai ice tea and mango sticky rice! This place is perfect for dates because of its small cozy setting.

I had the jerky appetizer, a glass of the Thai wine, and the massaman curry. Overall it was good but the curry could have been a bit hotter to balance out the sweetness of the peanut sauce and overall the flavor was a bit dull. The Thai wine was actually good. The jerky appetizer is not really worth it unless you need to protein load for a workout or something. The flavor is ok but not exciting.

Went here with a Groupon. We got the mussel pancake, fried tofu, papaya salad, seafood pad thai, and mango sticky rice. Mussel pancake and papaya salad were okay, the others were nothing special. The tofu came with a really sweet sauce that didn’t really go well with it. The seafood in the pad thai did not taste fresh, and the noodles had a weird texture. Maybe it was just an off night.

Love this place. Everyone is so friendly and so accommodating. I can be pretty picky and I tend to make a few special requests. And every time they came through. The food is delicious! They have 4 beers on tap. What other Thai restaurant has draught beer let alone a white IIPA, a Sam Seasonal, Harpoon IPA, Sam Rebel IPA. All go great with spicy thai! Definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants !

Great food! Relatively less pricy. No wonder the best thai food in Cleveland circle. I’ve been here several times and never been disappointed. Good service. I have the tom yum soup every time. Hot and spicy, perfect for the winter season. Their nong’s crispy chicken is worth trying. Their food is on the spicier side so people who can’t handle spicy food please ask for milder version.

The spot where @Chilli Thai Bistro now stands once was occupied by Bluestone Bistro of pizza-ness. The conversion, however, was thorough, and I would not have known this historic tidbit had I not passed by many a time, even having dined there once in its previous state. There is street parking for non-residents in the area, however, with streets narrow, it makes for not the most convenient of parking experiences. We however, parked a bit further off, scoring a rather roomy spot and a nice walk before and after dinner, finding the crosswalks convenient enough for our safe passage. We came with a voucher. It wasn’t much of a discount, but it got us in the door, particularly since I don’t generally think to dine in this corner of the world. Two servers oversaw the room, making themselves available, yet standing a comfortable distance away to grant their guests some space and privacy. The two of us were seated at a 4 top in short order and given the time to peruse the menu at our leisure. I appreciated the extra table space since we tend to dine family style. Fortunately, we had ordered lightly for dinner, seeing as the desserts we later selected were quite filling. Pad Thai is my go to dish in a Thai restaurant. I realize that the typical American version is much sweeter than the authentic version, but I like sweet things. We upgraded to a Seafood version $ 13.95(The most famous Thai noodle with large shrimps, sea scallops, squids, & mussel with egg, bean sprout, scallion & crushed peanut) for what was basically a $ 2 surcharge above their normal version which comes with chicken and shrimp for $ 10.95. Nong’s Fried Chicken(Southern Thai fried chicken topped with fried garlic & garnished with fried shallots. A popular street dish well known in many areas in Thailand. Sticky rice or Coconut rice is recommended) also caught the eye, which came in a small $ 6.95 or large $ 12.95. And from the Starters menu, the Coconut Shrimp(5) Fried butterfly coconut jumbo shrimp $ 7.50 could not be refused. Thai Iced Tea($ 3.95 with bubble on the menu but $ 2.75 bubble-less on our bill) is how I like to treat myself when I’m at a Thai restaurant. My little calorific splurge, don’t ya know. Theirs came poured into a glass half filled with ice. Can you say too much ice? Just stirring the creamy top layer into the darker tea with gentle swirls of the straw caused two ice cubes to jump ship one after the other. The sweetened tea itself was fine till the melting ice diluted it too much. Our entrée selections beat the appetizer to the table. The small order of fried chicken turned out to be a chicken leg-thigh combo, chopped into three pieces. I ate the skin — that says something since I tend to remove soft floppy bird skin as it isn’t worth the calories. The meat was crisp in spots and tender in others. I was glad to have tried it, but the only thing which particularly stood out was the fried garlic and shallots which would have gone great with rice — and thus the recommendation on the menu! According to my DC, the sauce that accompanied the chicken started off lightly hot, but the burn grew from there. The Seafood Pad Thai was tasty, and came with three small shrimp, two scallops(one whole, one in pieces), and a handful of small mussels nestled betwixt the soft rice noodles. The Coconut Shrimp were pretty good with the sweet chili sauce which they had initially neglected to bring us, but corrected as soon as I asked about it. But I think they would have been meatier and the natural shrimp flavor more distinct from the crispy coating if the creatures had not been butterflied and flattened so. For dessert, we decided we had room enough for two. Despite having selected scoop and serve type desserts, we waited 7 minutes for their arrival. I suspect their kitchen staff may be limited as two other tables of the four then occupied were served their hot dishes in the meantime. The Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice with Mango Ice Cream $ 5.50 came as expected, with cold ice cream melting against the warm chewy rice. There was a chunk of ice found in the ice cream that wasn’t appreciated, but the surprise of the evening was the Midnight Pearl $ 4.25, which was dessert soup. Gee, was I wrong — the tidbits generously scattered about the sweet white soup were not diced taro, as I had supposed, but some kind of taro mochi. Talk about yum! If you want something less sweet and a larger portion, get the sticky rice with your choice of accompaniments for a charge. If you want something sweeter and a bit different, consider the Midnight Pearl. I’m glad we didn’t have to choose, but had gotten both! Despite the signage on the door about no public bathroom, customers of Chili Thai do not have to do without. Two individual bathrooms are located down a flight of stairs. Step carefully, and if you are tall(say 5 foot 8), consider ducking at the foot of the staircase. Credit cards accepted, though not American Express.

5 stars for great great service! The place is really upscale and food was soooo good I recommend the pineapple fried rice & spring rolls only $ 3 for 2! Will be telling everyone how great this place is, and our server was super nice!

Even though their food is awesome, their speed is so slow… Unless you have a plenty of time, don’t expect them to feed you right away. However, the rest of it is great: the taste, the service and the environment. Enjoy.

Saturday night I tried to order for delivery. So sad when I learned they were closed! Maybe they weren’t closed, maybe the problem was with the delivery service? It’s been a while since I’ve come in to pick up. Usually I order using the Unilocal app. It’s like magic. Today I offer 4 stars rather than the usual 5. The beer I’m drinking while I wait is completely flat. I know they’re not a bar but it’s important to keep up with these things. I paid $ 48 for Kaprow gai, sticky rice, drunken noodles, Gyoza(6), and coconut ice cream, including a little tip. I think this is a lot. Maybe be a little more generous with the rice, which obviously should accompany the Kaprow?

I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness, service, and food at my first(and definitely not last) visit at @chilli. We were immediately seated and given a carafe of water. We started with the Satay Chicken, Gyoza, and Spring Rolls. The food was beyond fresh. The Satay Chicken was paired with a decadent peanut sauce that complimented the flavors of the chicken. The Gyoza was slightly overcooked, but still delicious. We split the Pad Thai for our entrée and were extremely satisfied. The rice noodles were light and not over sauced. The shrimp was on the colder side, but still cooked to perfection. Overall, I highly recommend @chilli for a well-priced, quick, and delicious meal.

We thought it was quite good, and very reasonably priced. It was a bit on the very spicy side, and the drunken noodles were a little greasy and too saucy for me, and also, the veggie dumplings were a bit too fried for my liking. But everything else was great, and overall, the quality was excellent, and we would go back again.

I am actually leaning more towards 3.5 stars, but I will give them the extra star because nothing here really turned me away from a future visit. My boyfriend and I started off with the Chicken Satay. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce, but I think that was my own personal taste preference. For my entrée, I ordered the Sriracha Crispy Chicken. Sriracha is supposed to be super spicy, but they only gave it a mild spicy rating. They could’ve used more sauce. It wasn’t even close to being mildly spicy. I don’t know if it was even sriracha. Overall, it was cooked well and tasted good. For Thai food, I prefer Bamboo down the street, but may return to Chili Thai Bistro again.

In an effort to branch out from my usual go-to places, I tried Chilli Thai Bistro for the first time last night — and I have to say, I was very impressed! I got Pad Thai and the sweet chilli chicken wings, and both were solid. The Pad Thai had the right kind of flavor(a bit sweet, peanut-y, and a little acidic), and the noodles were tender without being drowned in sauce(which always bums/grosses me out). It was also full of chicken, shrimp, and surprisingly yummy chunks of tofu(tofu can be a little dicey for me). As for the chicken wings, they were delicious: the sauce was sweet with a little kick, and they were very tender. The prices here are slightly higher than some other places in the area, but(1) the portions are very generous,(2) this is a small, family-owned business, and(3) it has a much more sterling health inspection record than many, many other other places in the area.(Part of the reason I have been branching out is because I recently discovered the health code search page on the Boston government Web site: . This has led to some disappointing, revolting, often downright stomach-churning revelations about other places where I’ve been eating… *shudder* Enter at your own risk — or, perhaps more accurately, *don’t* enter at your own risk.) But I digress. In a(pea)nutshell: Chilli Thai Bistro is darn good eats. I will definitely be back, and so should you! UPDATE: I have now been back here several times, and my rating has gone up a star because the food has remained so reliably delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. Definitely try it!

Nice thai restaurant, good food. The drunken noodle was very nice, agree with other reviewers on going for low spice. What was nice about it was they ground up the chicken. Nice décor, ambiance. Free wifi! There’s a playground next to this place!

The Food I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and my boyfriend ordered the emerald chicken. The fried rice was okay, nothing special, but the emerald chicken were not as good as we thought it would be. We thought it would be more sauce, as it was in the picture. Atmosphere The place is a medium size restaurant, it felt like a bistro type of restaurant. It seems like a family business. The waiter was nice and friendly. Overall! Not sure if i will come back, but if i do i might try their pad thai.

OK so there’s really just two things to mention. Neither a complaint, just an observation. 1. The chicken wings are only wings, no drumsticks. Just thought that was odd. I don’t think I’ve ever been somewhere that only plates wings. The sauce is really good and they’re crispy so it’s worth it. So, take that comment for what you want. 2. The fish soup has giant chunks of squid in it. Not like calamari sized; more like index finger sized. I didn’t mind cause I’m Italian but I must say, there was alot of chewing. The place is above average, this is just a couple observations.

I ordered Tom Yum soup, Veggie Pad Thai, and Kaprow Gai with Fried Egg via GrubHub for to-go. The place seems to be quite empty even for a regular weekday night, but I assume people don’t always dine there. However the seating area looks nice and clean. The food was ready within 10 – 15 minutes. Everything was good! Veggie Pad Thai was a little bit greasy, but I was craving for some greasy resturant food anyway. I didn’t notice that kaprow gai doesn’t come with rice, so I forgot to order one and had to make some rice at home. But that’s totally my fault. The other thing is that I ordered medium spicy for all three orders, but they are not really spicy comparing to the spicy level at S&I. Note to self: remember to order rice and make everything spicy. And yes I did order all three for myself because I couldn’t decide. They were all gone the next day. =P

Bankok Bistro has some serious competition with this place. Great Thai food!!! Not good with parking but its close enough I can go walking. Love the Tom Kha Soup, the Pad Thai, the Mango Sticky rice dessert. And their lunch specials cant be beat!!! As an added bonus the place looks new and modern. Great Place!

I have gotten take-out from @Chili Thai Bistro in addition to a large group meal I had at the restaurant. I am definitely a fan of the restaurant and really want to see it succeed. The service is friendly, the food is very good, and the ambiance is clean and modern. When I had my group meal, my friend called ahead and booked a table for 13 of us. They offered us a 10% discount, probably because it was newly opened. We had shumai and chicken satay to start with. The shumai were pretty standard, and the satay was very good. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the peanut dipping sauce was great! I ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup. It was nice and spicy and sour, and was well proportioned with the soup, noodles, and seafood. Portion sizes were generous. Although I finished my entire meal, most of my friends ended up taking home leftovers. At the end of the meal we got free ice-cream too! They had several unique flavors. I don’t expect everyone can get a discount and free ice-cream, but if you book a large party in advance it might be possible! I have also had their pineapple fried rice, drunken noodle, and dancing squid. I wasn’t a big fan of the pineapple fried rice. The curry flavor was too strong for my taste. However, I loved the squid dish. It had the classic basil and chili flavors of thai food. The drunken noodle was different from what I normally have, since the noodles were thin like pad-thai noodles(not the wide flat ones). Overall, I highly recommend you try this place! If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, try dining in and getting one of their lunch specials! Prices are lower in general on their lunch menu than dinner menu, but no matter when you eat the prices are fair.
