I can’t say enough good things about Denise and Caitlin at BG. Denise was so responsive from start to finish (and didn’t give up on me as we negotiated) and incredibly professional. The price was far below anyone else who gave us a quote and the service was fabulous. We are so glad we chose them to cater our wedding. Our guests raved about the food — from the peppered pear salad to the roasted chicken to the amazing red velvet cupcakes. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and took care to repack our vintage china (our china vendor even complimented their packing skills). Caitlin even packed up the left overs for me and my husband to take back to our hotel. It couldn’t have been any better!

From the start, I felt great about working with BG. I work for a small nonprofit, and when the time came to plan our 10^th anniversary celebration, we found we were struggling with finding a caterer who could provide fun and interesting food without blowing our budget out of the water. You’d be surprised how many times we heard, «We cannot plan a party on this small a budget.» Well okay then! But the folks at BG were wonderful– so accommodating, so friendly, and genuinely excited about working with us.
The tasting was an experience. We walked in to find our names printed on a little welcome card in the lobby, and the table set for what turned out to be a really cozy and fun lunch with Michele and Caitlin. We were offered wine, chatted as the food was served, heard a little bit about each dish as it came out, and were sent away with packed up leftovers to share with the rest of the office. That was what sealed the deal, honestly– we left their office confident in their ability to produce an event that felt like we wanted it to feel, and since we already knew they could stay within our budget, we were sold.
Leading up to the event, I couldn’t have been happier. It was my first time being in charge of an entire event for my company, and Michele was always available to answer my questions, promptly and with good humor. She made recommendations, always with an eye to matching style with budget consciousness, and even up to the day before the party was proactive about checking in to make sure every detail was seen to. The party itself (held at the Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham) went off without a hitch– our Executive Director used the word «perfect» more than once– and once the cocktail hour started I was even able to relax and enjoy myself, knowing we were in good hands.
I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience working with BG, and recommend them without reservation.

When ever I want the highest quality catering and gorgeous displays, I use BG Events and Catering. I use them every year to cater a big event and people always come away commenting on the food. If they don’t remember anything else, they remember the beautiful presentation of tasty treats at our event. They also have a highly skilled staff who are a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend them enough!

We worked with BG for our firm’s summer BBQ this year. Let me just start out by saying that everyone felt this was the BEST summer BBQ the firm has ever had — and we’ve been around for 45 years!
From the beginning of the planning process till the last bit of cleanup, BG was seamless. They made planning a BBQ fun, and even better, their attention to detail, their commitment to perfection, and their amazing staff allowed me to actually relax and enjoy the party. I cannot say enough good things about them.
The food was delicious. We did traditional BBQ food, which can be boring or taste cheap if the meat isn’t quality, but not with BG. Everything was truly gourmet status, and on top of that, they have amazing presentation.
They were also able to bring lawn games (ladder ball, cornhole, etc.) which was a HIT.
Any time I had a slight worry about something during the event, the staff was 2 steps ahead of me. It was great.
I have worked with many caterers in the Boston area. BG is by far the best! If you want a seamless and most importantly FUN event, you can’t go wrong with BG!

Nicole helped us navigate so many decisions… anything we needed, they provided for us. From delicious food, to amazing set up, to help reviewing our printed materials.
All of our guests raved about how delicious our family-​style meal was — and we agreed… it was DELICIOUS!
Not only that, but throughout the entire course of planning, they were there for us to help navigate the small decisions, from which wine glasses to choose to which beer to serve.
And they were super cost-​effective. We got amazing food, service and a full bar at much lower cost than any of the caterers that we researched and much much better help along the way.
Nicole and Ken are amazing, they understand the importance of the small details your wedding day and they personally see to making sure it’s perfect. From organizing to physically hanging lights!

We used BG Events and Catering for a large family event last month and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything worked out. The design and décor were amazing. The BG team were great to work with and attended to every possible detail. The evening flowed without a hitch. The food was creative, appealing and tasty. This place handled the food, decorations and so much more for my brother’s wedding. The did an outstanding job and made sure that everything was in order and perfect. They maintained a constant and professional level of communication to ensure that our every expectation (thought of or not) was met or exceeded. I hired BG for the Magic Garden Gala Event, held at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park. BG is one of DeCordova’s preferred vendors for catering, which is how I found out about them. BG consistently delivered an experience that exceeded my expectations, from the early and constant communication, clear quotes, personal touches, understanding of the event, helpful suggestions, hitch-​free set up, fast take-​down and fabulous decorations. The staff was courteous, well-​prepared, and well trained. I would recommend BG to anyone who wants a seamless event.
