I am continually pleased with the food here, as well as the pride of ownership. I do find the flavors distinctive and fresh-tasting. Good value and reliable. I appreciate other Thai venues in Brighton have other concepts — self-service and«Thai blackboard» specials come to mind. There is a place for them all. But Bangkok Bistro is warm and fuzzy, like the neighborhood Chinese restaurant I frequented with my family as a child. They recognize me when I come in, and I don’t order there alot. Something to be said for that.

Excellent food and great delivery. Ordered and delivered within 30 minutes! Best food and service of a Thai restaurant in the area.

As part of my ongoing quest to be familiar with all of Brighton’s Pad Thai, I ordered from here for the first time recently. Delivery was quick, the prices were decent, and the portions were generous, though I thought that the food was just okay — not bad, but it didn’t blow my skirt up. I got Pad Thai and calamari, and the Pad Thai was fine but kind of bland with no real depth to any of the flavors(plus the shrimp seemed slightly undercooked for my taste). The calamari was also just whelming(not overwhelming, not underwhelming) and tasted as if it had been previously frozen(which is often the case, but the difference is that you can’t always tell). Maybe other dishes have more to offer, though I doubt I will be inspired to revisit this one in the future when there are comparable and/or superior options around.

Exemplary Thai food served in a spotless restaurant by a friendly, dedicated staff. I love their food but if you go please try not to become addicted to : –One night chicken with a side of sticky rice. –drunken noodle –basil fried rice –chicken green curry –Thai chicken wings I’ve had much of the menu and the quality, taste and impeccable service keep me coming back.

I’ve only gotten delivery from Bangkok Bistro so I can’t give insight on their dining experience. Delivery wise they definitely seem like the fastest deliverers around. I love their Basil fried rice out of all their dishes. Their proportions are big and the food always tastes good.

I’m sure they try to make is as authentic as they can for the American palate. It smells like a Thai restaurant when I walked in but the food is so unbelievably bland that even the hot sauce I asked for to give my dishes more flavor wasn’t spicy at all. The curry was so bland, I wonder how this can be served.

This review is for delivery only! I was craving drunken noodles so I decided to try a new place. Bangkok has a 2.00 delivery fee so I thought that was reasonable and placed an order around 7pm. The estimated delivery time is 45 – 60 min and it arrived within 45 min. The noodles were still perfectly hot and the portion size was awesome! Usually I gobble up my noodles within 5 min but they gave me enough so I was able to save some(for later that night). Decent amount of beef and good flavor, not spicy though, but tasty! I would order it extra spicy next time. Also the delivery guy called me when he arrived which was helpful!

Yum! This restaurant has excellent Thai food! We started with the fresh rolls which were delicious, then I had the drunken noodles, which they were able to make less spicy for me. They were so good that I finished every bite, despite being way too full! My husband had the imperial noodles dish which was awesome. The garlic flavor really made it tasty. The service was impeccable. They were so very attentive and very quick! It was a wonderful dining experience!

So disappointing. I have eaten my fair share of Thai food in Thailand and in this area. Ordered numerous dishes. Most were below average. Two dishes were so bad that I am shocked they would serve them. Bbq pork was so dry and tough we only ate one bite. Duck Choo Chee was watery and flavorless. A couple of dishes were just okay. Eggplant with ground chicken and drunken noodles. Won’t be going there again.

Ordered delivery and they came very quickly. I got the Pad Thai which was not very flavorful. I got medium spicy and it wasn’t even spicy. Also, they should offer tofu options. I asked for tofu instead of chicken, they gave me tofu but it was fried and greasy. Other than that, pretty good Thai food, I would recommend it; they have a big menu.

Bangkok Bistro’s location used to be a car shop, then transformed into a pizza place, and now they’ve settled in the heart of Brighton Center. The restaurant is small, cozy, and has a tv. Everyone working there was Thai, so it’s pretty authentic. I got the mango fried rice(11.95), which was good, but could have used a little more heat during the rounds in the wok since the rice was exceptionally wet. There were plenty of chunks of mango, some pieces of chicken, and three large shrimp. The spicy eggplant($ 12.95)(with ground pork add on) wasn’t as tasty as I had hoped. The eggplant was good, tons of basil flavoring, a slight spicy undertone, but the ground pork was a poor choice for that plate. Service was good. There was some confusion when our plates came out, they confused our orders and kept taking them back, giving it to the wrong person, but everything got sorted out. Take out is a big thing. Lots of people came in for pick-up. Probably won’t come back. Would try the pad thai if I end up here with friends again. I’m just going to stick to the usual pad thai…

I tried something new, the Grapow Noodle with ground chicken, and it was very good. A little too spicy for my taste, but in fairness, it is described as «in hot basil sauce.» This might be my new favorite thing here! Also got the crab Rangoon which was predictably good. The bad news is, they no longer have chicken wings! Wah wahhhhhh

One of the best Thai restaurants in Brighton! Drunken noodles, curries, and tom yum soup, so good! And they can make practically everything gluten free, which is so great for those with allergies.

A bit pricey, but you get a ton of food for what you pay for, so I would say it is worth it. My friends and I love the drunken noodles and the Pad Thai Gai Thod(have even gotten extra for free!). They have super fast delivery but also good service when you go in.

Really good Thai food. I had the pad Thai and it was great, and the person I was with got the Indonesian fried rice which was even better. Just spicy enough. The service was great too, but it’s pretty small so it might get annoying during busy hours. But we went on a Wednesday night so it was not an issue at all.

Fast and courteous delivery man, my meal got here 15min earlier than expected on the email confirmation. Wonton soup was different– had a little spice and sweetness to it compared to what I’m used to. Wontons were a good size, 4 in the pint. The pad Thai is tasty but as someone mentioned in a prior review, minimal shrimp– I only had 2 in mine but lots of chicken… why bother to put shrimp in? Not bad in a pinch when you’re hungry and don’t want to cook or go out to get Asian/Thai food.

I visited this restaurant about three times so far. I tried the pad thai, thai dumplings, fried spring rolls, and thai tea. I enjoyed everything, and think they make a particularly delicious pad thai compared to most other restaurants. It is a smaller cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and reasonable prices. I’ll be visiting more in the future to try other items on the menu. I recommend this place and believe it’s a jewel in the Brighton, MA area. Give it a try!

Decent Thai restaurant close to home. I was worried for this restaurant because anything that seemed to open up in that location closes down immediately but I am hoping that Bangkok bistro is here to stay! I love Thai food and have tried over a dozen different Thai restaurants, so I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Thai food. The food here is pretty good! I ordered the pad Thai, Indonesian fried rice, and the Kua gai noodles for take out. The place is small so take out is recommended but they do have some tables for dining in. All the dishes ordered were very flavorful and comparable to other decent Thai restaurants. The prices were a little high for dinner though which is why I gave this place 4 stars and not 5. I’ve had great Thai food for cheaper before, although they do have some coupons and offer a small discount if you pay in cash. Rod Dee in Brookline is still my favorite Thai place but this A great alternative that is close to home.

I have been to this place many times. Their foods are fantastic and authentic. Everyone there is so friendly. I have also used delivery service many times. I have very good experience as always. I am not sure the person below talking about. As you mentioned about the parking ticket. I assume that your location does not has the parking and you try to ask the delivery guy to deliver the food to your room. Maybe you should concern about other people, not just your convenient. As I do have a car, I have a lot of difficulty to find a parking spot in any places in Boston.

One star is not low enough. The delivery man threatened to make me pay his parking ticket for delivering food to me. He proceeded to kick in my front door with his foot and leave marks all over it. Scary and rude. Do not order from this establishment.

I have no idea what their food tastes like because I haven’t had the chance to try it yet. It sure looks good but unfortunately I’ve tried ordering from them on Eat 24 twice and they cancelled my order both times. When I checked with Eat24 they said it’s because they don’t have a driver but then when I called the actual restaurant they said they could deliver. Maybe I’ll swing by in person sometime and change the review based on the food but in the meantime it’s a bummer that they cancelled my order twice.

I’m southeast Asian, I eat a lot of Thai based food growing up and this place seems more like Americanized fast food. They put way too much vegetables than meat in their plates. Most of the plates that I’ve ordered look glossy(excessive oil discretion in the rims of the plates). They were originally open at a bigger location further down of the outbound B line(green MBTA subway) but moved into Brighton Center in a smaller space 1⁄3 of it original size. Their appetizers and drinks are good portions and delicious. I do not like most of their entrees.

Cute little place, lots of windows, few tables. Great for eat in during slower hours. Lunch special is perfect portions. Food is very flavorful. Red curry had vegetables cooked to perfection and yellow curry was sweet with just the right amount of spicy. Definitely worth the trip :)

Meh. That’s the end result of my experience with Bangkok Bistro a few weeks ago. It was nothing to write home about, and was a restaurant that I could imagine going to if I lived nearby and didn’t want to explore further. Had some basic Thai staples, including their pad thai. As an FYI, their pad thai(only one type) comes with both chicken and shrimp, rather than giving you a choice. And everything was just okay. I am a bigger fan of Rod Dee, which is about a 7 minute drive from here. Seating area is a little strange since it is somewhat exposed, and feels more like a Chipotle than a sit down restaurant. Much of their business appears to be from take out orders, and the stream of people coming in and out may be distracting. Pro tip: If you are getting takeout, they offer a cash bonus. So if you spend $ 45 and pay in cash, they give you a $ 5 discount.

I love Thai food and get it all the time out on the west coast, where it is more prevalent. Bangkok Bistro can stand with the best of them. This place is very clean, classy, and super friendly staff/service. Great food, great prices, and great parking! In Brighton, no less!

Nice atmosphere and a pleasant surprise, some of he better Thai I have had in the area, I completely recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes Thai and is in the area. :)

I used to go to the orignal location when it was in Cleveland Circle and I always enjoyed the food! I noticed recently they have moved closer to my area so me and the boy decided to try it out… We wanted to get a low key casual bite so we parked and went in… Soon as we went in we noticed it was pretty full and crowded– I must say I was kind of surprised by the layout– it’s a lot smaller and cramped and I thought with all the paking spaces they had out front they could probbaly expand the restaurant a little more to make it wider… With that said, my bf suggested we do takeout instead since he didn’t want to be wedged between other couples… we kept it simple– he ordered red curry with chicken and rice and I got my ALL time fave– pad see ew with chicken and tofu — we also got an order of the fresh summer rolls! The wait time was super quick– 10 minutes and when we got home I was pretty impressed with everything we got. Usually for some reason for thai food I always feel like the portions are really small– esp. for takeout but not the case with Bangkok Bistro at all! The portions were huge and for the price well worth it! The red curry was delicious and there was enough for 2 – 3 servings each– the only complaint was that for all that curry they only gave you a very small carton of rice… the pad see ew was HUGE. I was already half full from eating the curry before I started the noodles and I couldn’t even finish it! There were huge chunks of chicken and tofu which was nice– the only thing I would change is if they added a little bit more egg and a little more sauce to it! The fresh summer rolls were also really good! We got the fresh shrimp ones and they were really great with fresh basil! All in in all it was a great meal for under $ 30 and I’m super excited there’s now a good thai place in the hood I can go to!!! I remember when this space used to have a gas station and a naked pizza so hopefully they will continue with success and maybe expand in the future! Yummy!
