Amanda is an excellent pet sitter who gives us peace of mind when we are away from our furball. Our cat is a little feisty (major tortitude), but Mandy has been nothing but patient and kind toward her. And the daily update texts complete with photos are great. We couldn’t recommend her more.

Mandy is the most amazing petsitter around! We’ve tried other pet sitters. Our cat is a rescue and needs a little extra TLC. Mandy has a way with all animals. She comes over to meet your pet first, gets to know them, learns about their habits and needs, etc. She asks all the right questions — keys, etc. — and texts photos of your pet to you while you’re away. it’s the most reassuring thing in the world! When we come home after being away for a spell, our cat Gizmo will be calm and well taken care of, that’s for sure! She asks clarifying questions via text too. Gizmo has often been on a diet and she makes sure that she’s feeding him the correct amount. Seriously, she’s the best pet sitter I’ve ever had. She truly, truly, truly loves what she does and loves the animals she meets. I’ve even sent her photos of Gizmo between scheduled sittings, and she is always happy to get them! They are definitely buddies. And her rates are reasonable. She also brings in your mail, waters plants, opens shades/​closes them, turns on/​off lights, etc. She has even dealt with our mobile A/​C unit and kept an eye on it in case it filled up with too much water. So not only is she a pet sitter — she’s a house sitter too. She’s worth the money! Give her a call or send her a text!

Mandy has been walking our 11 month hound-​mix puppy, Cody, for about 3 months now. Cody is crazy about Mandy and we always know that he is in good care when he’s with her. Mandy is easy to communicate with and always quick to respond to my messages. I love how she sends me updates on their walks together and a few pictures to show how much fun Cody had. I highly recommend Mandy if you’re in the need for a reliable and trustworthy dog walker!

I just used Mandy’s services for the first time. I had to go on a business trip, with relatively little notice. So, I scrambled to find a reliable service. My cat is 15 years old, has kidney disease and a hyperthyroid condition that necessitate daily care. I needed to find someone I could trust. Someone recommended by my vet did not respond to an email I sent.
So, I asked around and was quickly advised to use Mandy’s services. I reached out to her and she responded very promptly. What I was asking was no small task: my cat is aging, requires a pill in the morning, then another pill in the early evening and another pill a couple of hours later.
To start with, Mandy’s rates were reasonable/​affordable, in fact more than competitive. Mandy was very accommodating and came over so we could meet and she could meet my «GeriatriKitty». She was soft-​spoken, clearly a lover of animals, had a kindness, softness, and openness to her that was quite confidence-​inspiring. I felt immediately comfortable with leaving my cat in her care.
But there was the question of subcutaneous injections to administer daily. She very candidly admitted she had never handled that sort of thing. I demonstrated it for her that first time we met. Then, we agreed she would come back one more time shortly before my departure so that she could give it a try, under my supervision. She was very responsive and flexible and made this second visit, bravely trying her first subcutaneous injection. She quickly «got it» and I felt comfortable that she would be able to handle these in my absence. I particularly liked the fact that she was honest about her nervousness – it was reassuring to realize that she was honest with herself and others. So, that gave me further reason to trust her. And she refused any payment for either her first visit or this second visit…
Finally, about a week before I left, my little one stopped eating. I spent the last week before my departure taking him to the vet and then a variety of visits for procedures like ultra-​sound, x-​ray, etc. There was particular urgency in trying to figure out what was going on so as to have a new protocol ready for my cat-​care giver. Some last-​minute changes had to be made to the pill giving protocol. Mandy quickly understood it all and again gave me confidence that things would be well and under control.
Another added benefit to using Mandy’s services is that she provides daily email reports on her visits as well as a picture taken during her visit. She had mentioned this particular feature as part of the services she offered and thought it was quite a great idea – but I actually had no idea how incredibly reassuring and heart-​warming this simple offering was.
So, there are multiple reasons for hiring Mandy. I would hire her again in a nano-​second. Mandy deserves to be successful and I want to help ensure she is. Do not hesitate a second to call on her. You will be rewarded beyond your wildest expectations. I am beyond impressed not only at how professionally, honestly, easily, adeptly she handled herself and things, but at what a simply nice, decent person she clearly is. CALL HER NOW without hesitation!

I’ll be honest Amanda didn’t pet sit for us… but she gets 5 stars for communication. I called her and not even a half and hour later she called me back. I’ve called places days ago and I’ve yet to hear from them.
Though we didn’t do business, she was so prompt that I felt compelled to write a 5 star review.

Amanda is wonderful! I decided to take a somewhat last minute day trip this past weekend. I needed someone to walk my dog midday. I contacted her on Tuesday, and met with her Wednesday. She took excellent care of my dog for me while I was away. I highly recommend her.

We went to England for over 2 weeks for Christmas, and Mandy took care of our two cats– a 1.5yr old and a 6 month old kitten.
She was awesome– cats were healthy and happy, and she emailed us pictures and updates every day.
We’ll definitely work with Mandy again, and highly recommend her!

I should have written this review back in August/​September but just never got around to it. We hired Amanda to check in on (and feed) our 2 year old Tuxedo cat and she was really awesome! She is super friendly and really easy to get in contact with. We also loved that she sent us photos and videos of our cat while we were away.
She met with our cat and he loved her immediately, while our cat is pretty friendly, he usually holds back for a little bit at first. With Amanda, he went right up to her and was purring and nuzzling against her instantly! We will definitely hire Amanda when whenever we go away this spring/​summer. It was such a relief knowing she was checking in our cat, playing with him, and feeding him while we were away.
I highly recommend Amanda for cat sitting and I’m sure she must be just as great with dogs, she is a real natural with animals and I get the feeling that she really loves what she does! It was nice working with just one person rather than a larger business where you might not know who is checking in on your pet each day. And it was also nice knowing we hired someone who loves animals just as much as we do!

I rescued a dog at the beginning of September and knew the first thing I needed to do was get this pup a reliable dog walker.
I spent some time searching and found the Purrfect Woof website. I contacted her through the site and she contacted me within a couple hours.
We met and she was such a nice kind person. My dog is a rescue with some behavior problems (like humping her) and she was really great with him! Because I can’t afford a dog walker each day, she was really open and was willing to just come however many days I asked for the following week. It made Cooper’s transition to home life so much better.
She is really the perfect person to be walking a dog and really observes how your dog is acting. She’ll text ‘Cooper was shaking his neck a lot-​i think his ears are bothering him. You may want to take a look tonight!’. One of our dogs even had an accident, and she let us know AND cleaned it up! I even (only once!) asked her to walk the dog with only a few hour’s notice after I had woken up late and didn’t think he got enough of a walk before I had to get to work-​and she was so there for me.
We have another dog as well who is 10 so she doesn’t need a walk. Amanda lets her outside in our yard before leaving so she can have a pee break too (even though she doesn’t need it).
I’m so glad that my family found her-she’s a HUGE help to us!

Mandy is great. She is responsive, reliable, professional, super kind and so good with our dog Sophie. Our typical dogsitter was on vacation, our backup boarding kennel was full, so this was our first ting having someone we didn’t know watch the dog while we were away. She came to meet me and Sophs the same day that I emailed her to see if she was accepting new clients, it was perfect.
There are certainly walkers with lower prices — personally for me it was warranted because it is so clear she really enjoys what she does and treated Sophie like she was her own. Any dog walker can feed/​walk them, but I think Mandy also knew I was worried about my little mutt being sad home alone, and said she would be happy to spend some time hanging out with Sophie. She sent me texts and pictures each time she visited, and when we got home Sophs was excited to see us but definitely already in a great relaxed little doggy mood. ;)
We’d absolutely use her again — I’m happy we have found someone as trustworthy, professional and genuine as Mandy, and I’m even happier she is right in Brighton!

Amanda is awesome! I cannot recommend her enough. I contacted her after reading such rave reviews online. She responded quickly and made an appointment to come over to my house to meet me and my 2 cats. My cats and I immediately took to her– she is very professional, kind and it is apparent how much she loves animals. While I was away Amanda stayed in contact and sent me several pictures which were really appreciated. Most recently– I contacted Amanda very last minute and she was able to help!

Amanda was a great help with our cat while we were on vacation over Christmas. We contacted her last minute and she was able to work us into her schedule over Christmas and even added an extra day when we asked. She provided photos after each of her visits and allowed us to enjoy our time off worry-​free. She is very professional and our skittish kitty seemed to like her right away. I would recommend recommend Amanda every time to anyone!

I wholeheartedly recommend Amanda and appreciate the care she gave my two cats and her professionalism as a pet sitter. I found Amanda through Unilocal and am glad that Unilocalers steered me right once again.
Amanda was great with my cats, both of whom are a little high-​maintenance. One of my cats requires medication twice a day, so Amanda came over every morning and evening to ensure he was getting the medication he needed. The cats liked her, and one of my favorite things was that she sent me photo-​texts or emails every day so I could see my little guys’ faces and know that they were doing just fine. It sounds like a small gesture, but it was actually quite wonderful for me and it really set Amanda apart. She goes the extra distance in making sure than both pets *and* owners are cared for.
I have since moved away, but Amanda cared for my cats several times over the course of a year and I would be using her today if I stilled lived in the area.

Amanda has been of a great help this past holiday weekend. It was the first time we ever leave our two kittens and I don’t regret having her in charge. She’s also mom of a kitten, so that indeed made me feel more confident.
During our trip I had a small problem and Amanda did not hesitate at all to help me. I really appreciated that! She’s a very nice, comprehensive and caring person, we are definitely considering her on our next trip!

Amanda was sent from heaven for Maia and I. After having issues with the local doggy daycares not treating the animals right and keeping them locked in a small room to play, I was skeptical of having someone come into my home even and having them take Maia for walks.
Being a professional with a crazy schedule, I can hardly make it home at lunch to take my princess outside. She likes to be at home and is comfortable there (doggy daycares make her nervous and she ended up losing 2lbs in a week– she’s a 6lb Chorkie).
Amanda came by the house and met with me and right away I could see that Maia was in love with her. She started the next day and since has done nothing but prove me wrong in that there REALLY ARE people out there who treat animals like their own.
She takes Maia for walks and sends me updates and pictures of her. She also gets to meet new dogs, which I love! :) I come home and Maia is exhausted yet satisfied. I can see it in her eyes that she’s telling me «mom, i had a good day».
I’ll use Amanda forever. I feel secure in that my home is in good hands, and so is my princess. Trust me, you won’t find anyone to do what Amanda does and at such a good price, but I have to say… you CANNOT put a price on your pet’s happiness! :D

Amanda has taken our dog for twice weekly walks for the past few months and we’ve been very happy with her. She is friendly, accessible, and our dog loves her. She is reliable and very good at letting us know if and when she is not available. I can tell our dog has had a nice off-​leash time when we come home and he is a relaxed pooch

Amanda does an awesome job of taking care of my cat when I am away. She takes the time to play with the kitty, since the cat is alone for the day. I really liked that she took the time to text me a pic of the cat, to let me know she was doing okay! I would highly recommend Amanda — top notch care!

Amanda of Purrfect Woof is a wonderful pet sitter and we would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking for someone to walk or take care of your furry friends while you are away. She is reliable, always on time and really treats the animals with a lot of love and care. We have had pet sitters/​walkers in the past who only do it as a way to earn a living, but Amanda is different — she really does genuinely care for the animals and for me, that is really important because we know they are loved while we are away.
And Amanda has babysat for us before and if we can trust her with our (human) baby, we can definitely trust her with our cat and dog. And one more thing — our cat is really old and basically throws up daily. Amanda has NEVER once complained about cleaning up after her and continues to be kind and loving towards our cat. We feel very lucky to have found her!
