Description

Specialties

Riding lessons for children and adults. Our horses and ponies are well trained to ensure a safe learning experience. Our school horses and ponies are trained in lower level dressage, jumping, trail riding and gymkhana games.

All riders will learn grooming, tacking and basic horse care in addition to riding. Opportunities to compete are available at in-barn schooling shows and local events.

History

Established in 1993.

Originally established as Providence Farm while living in Michigan, Julie bred Welsh Ponies and Cobs in addition to teaching and training. As her lesson program grew, she phased out the breeding part of the business and became Providence Riding Academy.

After 18 years in Michigan, she moved back to Massachusetts with four of her best school horses and began «regrowing» her business in her home state. While her program is still small, she is looking forward to growing larger, but still will keep the personalized service that she has been known for.
