Unprofessional staff. Not helpful at all. Lots of places to choose from… DO NOT choose this salon.

I would NEVER allow someone I know to visit this salon. In February, I had spoken with Emily and confirmed her salon would close for 3 hours for my bridal party to get our nails done the day before our wedding. I watched as her associate had marked the appointment book for a 3-​hour block. We would have some drinks and munchies and the salon to ourselves as we had a little «girl’s day» before the big day. I was so excited because I had been to Em Nails before and liked how they did my nails. I had offered to pay additional money on top of the 19 – 20 services to ensure we have the place to ourselves, but Emily said it was not necessary at all because they did this sort of thing often and had no problem closing for us. I was just supposed to drop off a small deposit the week prior. This was in February 2016 for a 4÷22÷16 reservation date.
A week and a half before the wedding, Emily called me to check-​in and left a voicemail saying we were all set and just wanted to know if I wanted her to put any snacks out for us. She followed up the voicemail with an e-​mail re-​stating we were all set and the salon would be open for my party from 11am-​2pm and closed for everyone else. I replied to her e-​mail thanking her and provided the list of specific nail services all of the girls were going to be getting. Then, the next morning, Emily replied to my e-​mail that she would not be able to close for us. I replied to her e-​mail stating my confusion and asking what had changed; I received zero response. I called her and left her a voicemail. No response. Finally, a few hours later, I tried the salon and she was there so I was able to speak with her. She told me — «I can’t let my people stand around and watch only you» and that she could not turn away her regular customers.
I told her I was extremely upset and confused because what she is saying she could not do is actually exactly what we had agreed to have happen MONTHS ago and she was violating her agreement with me with such short notice, there would be no way I could find another location that could accommodate what I was looking for. I also told her that we were very reasonable and transparent upfront as to how many people and services would be done, and that I had even offered to pay extra on top (of which she turned down) — nothing had changed, so all of the reasons she was saying to me now could have been reasons to discuss and workout 2 months ago when we originally booked this.
We were seeking a salon to close, she agreed, then when it was too late for us to find another salon, she violated her agreement. I’m sure her regular customers would not appreciate that we were treated this way. If this was inconvenient because it was prom season, or the labor didn’t work, or too many regular customers come on Fridays, all of those things could have been identified and worked out when we first booked. The way she spoke to my me was absolutely out of line and I was appalled at this business’ behavior.
Do yourself a favor and find a friendly, ethical business to patronize if you need your nails done. #WeddingHorrorStory

Do not go here — very unprofessional
The lady buffed down (with machine) my healthy nails (wanted a basic manicure) and when giving me change kept $ 5 for herself

Review from a friend who is a licensed cosmetologist– worst manicure ever. Shop is filthy dirty and the staff is beyond unprofessional. I can’t believe the state board has not shut them down.
First red flag — the licenses were not posted anywhere
I would never go back and would NEVER recommend it to others. State board needs to make a visit.

Worst mani pedi I’ve ever had today. First of all, this is one of the dirtiest nail salons I’ve ever walked into– the sinks to wash your hands, bathroom, non sterilized instruments, floors– filthy. The young guy who did my pedicure did it in ten minutes, didn’t even exfoliate my legs. He proceeded to do my manicure, and cut me and made me bleed (with dirty clippers) because he was in such a rush– to do what? Place was empty with people sleeping all over the place.
I was done with both in twenty minutes. Not always a bad thing, but I’m pregnant and looking for some relaxation time and a decent pedicure. I did not find it here. Awful experience. I thought maybe other reviewers were exaggerating, but seriously: avoid this place at all costs.

Horrifying! I walked in at 3:00 PM to find 3 employees curled up on the couches in the waiting area taking naps. Beyond unprofessional… Walked right out and would never go back!

Been here a few times since its next to wegmans and convenient to go to both, but I’m done with this place. I have had the very young girl and young guy. Super fast pedicure. The bottoms of my feet look terrible. I didn’t even say anything this time bc I just wanted it to be over with. I think he used the stone for all of 5 seconds on my feet and was trying to massage my feet with hardly any lotion. Ridiculous. Actually they are lazy. Don’t even turn the dryer on when they escort you to the dryer. Plenty of better places so don’t bother

Ok, first of all, I can’t believe there’s no listing for this location on Unilocal.This place has been open in the same shopping center as Wegmans for years now. I’ve always found the place to be very good for the price point. Great pedicure and they use the razor, which I really need for my feet. However, The past two times I’ve gone, the young guy who works there has done my pedicure and really did a sloppy job. It was done very quickly, which isn’t bad, but in the end I had to scrape little bits of nail polish off my toes and he even missed a spot. I was left feeling like he really phoned it in. If you go to one of the other girls, you can expect a great pedicure and a 4 to 5 star experience. But just my two cents — avoid the young guy. Because it feels awkward to me to request somebody else, I think I probably won’t return. It’s a bummer — I’ve been going there for probably 6 years on and off (even back when it was OPI Nails).
