When we decided to purchase a used car for my teenage sons to share, I was determined to do as much of the transaction as I could online before going to an actual dealership. As a result we searched extensively in a 50+ mile radius on multiple car sites for the best available Chevy Cruze to fit our budget.
I emailed several dealerships about the cars we were interested in and then as I expected, the games began.
The exception was at Midway Auto Haus. They didn’t play games or get pushy, responded to our questions politely and transparently through both chat and phone, and surprisingly (in my experience) had posted their best price for all to see, which enabled us to buy a newer model car with more features and less mileage for our money.
When we arrived there, they were equally attentive to both me and my son, gave solid advice to my new driver about the car features and functions, immediately addressed a minor issue with the car, and made the buying process pleasurable and memorable. The entire staff there was knowledgeable and available; Greg has assembled an effective team of trained professionals. We were out of there in a little over an hour with car, plates and sticker, and directions for a shortcut home!
I strongly recommend Midway Auto Haus and might even buy used there instead of new for myself next year which would be a first.

Went in to buy a vehicle. Ad stated vehicle had clean carfax. Went in and test drive it. 2013 vehicle with engine knocking? Went back and asked for carfax. Said «it hasn’t been in an accident» scrolled right past «structure damage reported .» And for some reason couldn’t print it out. Luckily I saw the screen otherwise I’d had bought a damaged vehicle! Wouldn’t trust them foreigners! After the lady insisted I put down a deposit I declined and left.

I had been car shopping for quite some time, I was looking for a used car and was on a budget. I visited a few car dealers with no luck. Same thing at every dealer. right away they want to get you to test drive the newer cars and sucker you up into buying them. After the test drive they won’t even tell you the price of the car and want to take you inside to run your credit, ughhh! No, no, noooo! So I come across Midway Autohaus and see a car online that I’m interested in and go see it on my day off. They didn’t have the specific car I wanted but they did have a variety of other cars, all very affordable with good prices. Mike was my salesman and I told him right off the bat I didn’t want to be pressured and told him my budget. He was in no way pushy and showed me the cars that fit my budget. I found a car I loved but decided to think it over and I went back a week later with my parents and test drove the car. After, he took us inside to run my credit and I ended up getting the car that day. overall, good experience with this place! I’ve had my car for a year and a half and haven’t had any issues with it! I felt very comfortable here and didn’t feel pushed or pressured.

Posting this exact review in as many places as I can find in the hopes it saves the next person time and money! If there are any positive reviews of this place, I can almost guarantee they are paid for/​written by employees!
If I could give negative stars, I would. Please heed the warnings from the MANY bad reviews and do not waste your time on this place. I thought the salesman I was working with over the phone was on the up and up and really helping me out — I told him the very SPECIFIC vehicle I wanted and what I wanted to spend — he said he would find me my car. Yeah, right. Wasted over two hours of my very valuable time on a Saturday to come look at the lot full of shit heaps that they have. All I can figure is that they pull cars from auctions all over the US. What I wanted: 2010– 2013 Nissan Quest, pretty loaded, with DVD system, less than 30k miles for around $ 20k. What I saw: base model Honda Odyssey, filthy, missing parts, damaged, and over 70k miles. I was LIVID that he dragged me down to the south side with an infant and a 20 month old to look at that garbage. And then had the audacity to say that the cars he told me about on the phone weren’t in yet, but I could leave a deposit and come back. Are you effing kidding me? Who the hell does business like this? Save your time and money and go to a reputable dealership. This place is nothing but a pit of snaky salesmen that prey on the stupid.

Just know they’re looking to make a sell at the end of the day. If you’re on a budget and don’t want to have to fix much right after purchasing. bring a mechanic. But that’s obvious, right?
I never really had good experiences with dealers. But hey, I’m 22 and have only spent about $ 3000 at once on a car. However, after less than a month of purchase, I’ve already had to spend over $ 1000 fixing the car. All I got out of the deal was four «newer» used tires. One of which blew a belt and I recently had to replace. Luckily I didn’t end up on the side of the road somewhere coming home from my Thanksgiving trip.
I won’t say not to buy from them, though. I’m sure most of you won’t have my problems.

I purposely waited at least three months before writing my review on Midway Autohaus to make sure I wrote an accurate review. I am happy to say I am very pleased with Midway Autohaus’s services. Here is my experience with Midway Autohaus that I hope will be beneficial for my fellow Unilocalers.
On 11÷26÷11 I purchased my 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan with the assistance of Mike Kosek. My boyfriend and I were searching for Tiguans for several months and had a bad dealership experience just a few days before with an actual VW Dealership before arriving at Midway. I still was car-​less and frustrated with car shopping all together until my boyfriend saw an amazing price for a 2009 VW Tiguan with only 27K miles. We called right away on Thanksgiving and miraculously they were open for only another hour so my boyfriend and I rushed over there 45 min later. Even though they were closing in about 15 min, Mike was really nice and attentive to us. Most importantly, he made us feel comfortable even though we knew we were making him leave late on Thanksgiving. We took a test drive and I instantly fell in love but of course, I had to have my poker face on since I kept insisting it was too good to be true.
After the test drive, Mike, my boyfriend and I discussed about our options with purchasing the car. He was very informative and the best part about Mike was that he wasn’t pressuring me to do anything. I work in sales so I know the sales process and how sales people can be but he was so different and he was patient with us. Because I wanted my parents to see the car before purchasing but was too afraid that the car would be sold to another person since the price was so right, he offered to let us put a small refundable deposit which would guarantee the hold for the next couple of days so that my parents would have the opportunity to see the car. The agreement was that I’d put the deposit down that day, and that others would be allowed to see it but they wouldn’t be allowed to buy the car until I made my final decision. I was a little hesitant but I went with my gut, put a deposit down, and made an appointment to see Mike two days later with my parents. After that day, I even went online and read reviews to see how legit the dealership was and although legit, they didn’t have the best reviews so I was a little nervous coming back with my parents.
I asked Mike to have the car detailed for my parents and I to see at the scheduled appointment and there were no problems. We arrived and from the beginning to the end of the sale, Mike was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Every question my parents and I had was answered and backed up by a CARFAX provided by M.A. The negotiation went well — it was already so discounted that there wasn’t much room to negotiate the price even lower so I was fine with that. He even discounted to an even number just to make us even happier with the price. Mike didn’t even have to ask for the sale; that’s how much we liked the service, car, and price provided by him. The car was paid in full that very same day.
I forgot the cashier’s name but she was super friendly and informative as well. I read EVERYTHING in the fine print so she was very patient with my father and I before we signed ANYTHING. She was very efficient and I was happy with that too.
The plates were provided the same day and they happily and accurately placed them on my car just as I asked them to.
There were only two things that I would say that could’ve been handled better but they are petty reasons so I don’t really hold it against them. We asked Mike to have information about bluetooth installation for the Tiguan by the date that my parents and I were coming in to purchase the car and that info wasn’t provided for us because he forgot. Honestly, not a big deal and obviously it wasn’t a huge priority because I still haven’t installed it. A couple of days later Mike called me back to give me information on the bluetooth installation so I think that showed he went above and beyond to provide the best customer service possible.
The second thing that could’ve been better to enhance my experience with M.A. from a 4 star review to a 5 star review was their company website (at the time I researched the company; now the website is a lot more informative with correct spelling on the description of the company, and etc…). In the future, I hope that the dealership makes more of an effort to respond to bad customer reviews on websites like Yahoo Reviews and Unilocal because at least in my experience, that scared me off a bit and made me hesitant with purchasing a car from M.A. However, I am really happy with my decision and I was more than happy that Mike was my salesman. I’d definitely recommend Mike to my friends and family if and when they are inquiring about purchasing a car. Should I ever purchase another car, I’d definitely go to Mike first before shopping anywhere else.

I purchased a car from across state lines with these guys. The car had a few dings and scratched not mentioned in the ad, but overall was in good shape. Because I wanted to drive it back, they took it in for warranty standard service prior to the purchase.
This is a crank and grind car dealership. You will not get espresso in the lobby and they are not going to massage feet while you wait. Go in, ask for what you want, keep asking until you get it. I would recommend this dealership to a friend.
