Ribs are meaty and have nice smoked flavor. Mac n cheese is baked and very cheesy. Baked beans are decent. The owner’s brother in law was there to serve us and he was very friendly. Britt had the bacon stuffed burger which is more like mixed. Bacon pieces are mixed into the meat. It is made like a steak and shake burger. They also have fries, green beans, potatoe salad and other sides. German chocolate cake, peach cobbler, and caramel cake are the dessert choices They have lunch specials for about $ 5 too.

Mr D and I missed a BBQ Wednesday while Ms T and I were in North Carolina enjoying a lot of that great Eastern Carolina pork. Shortly after returning he and I visited Rib Station for lunch. I had noticed this little place a few times while driving the Rock Road. It seems to be relatively new being clean and bright, located in the strip mall near Home Depot. We each ordered some back ribs and I added a pulled pork sandwich. I sampled slaw and potato salad. I did not think to ask if the meats are served sauced. Just be advised that they are served sauced, so if you are like me and would prefer no sauce or a little on the side, you need to remember to tell them. The ribs are served cut apart with the sauce ladled on top. The sauce is a little tangy and fairly sweet. It is almost translucent, like a syrup. The ribs themselves were fresh, tender and moist. They were very nicely cooked. They came clean off the bone but were not mush. They reasonable smoke flavor and color. I need to get back to try them without any sauce. I just don’t think they need it. Even the leftovers a couple of days later were very good. The pulled pork was good, nothing surprising. It avoided the problems I often have with pulled pork in that it was not dry. It was shredded and was tender and moist. It too was served with sauce. My preference would be some slaw and some vinegar sauce for this pork. I liked the almost mashed style potato salad. It was not sweet or overloaded with yellow mustard. The slaw would have been to my taste if it had not had onion. At least I think I detected onion in the potato salad, but was not sure since the slaw had it. I am torn on my rating here. I feel it is on the cusp between three and four stars on the strength of the ribs. I am going with three for now and hope to return for some unsauced ribs. Don’t let the rating deter you. Three is definitely not bad and this is a strong three for me. I just want to test for consistency and see how the dry ribs are. I understand it is their style(sauced) and it is not uncommon, but it would help if they just asked if you want your barbecue sauced. This is a nice little place with very nice people. I want them to succeed.

Honestly I don’t need to write a long review for Rib Station. The damn food is simply freaking good I’ve been here a few times both take out and dine in. Sadly each time I’ve been I’ve only eaten their pulled pork cause I’m such a fan, that I can’t wait to eat it again. Their BBQ is a tad on the sweet side, but has enough flavor to tame it down so you’re not eating a sugar cube, and I loved it’s tender perfectly shredded pieces. The mac & cheese is the ultimate in creaminess, richness and moist. But the real gem is their potato salad; it’s FABUUULOUS. I don’t know what kind of love is going into that salad, but in my opinion it’s perfect. It almost seems like they might use a ricer for their potatoes. Staff has always been friendly. Knocked off a star cause once they’ve been out of potato salad, once out of pulled pork, and first time I went was a longer than usual wait. However, the nice lady gave me a free small soda so… It’s a gem, will go a few times a month for work time lunches.

Had the pork steak. Very impressive. Cooked perfect. I gave it only 3 stars because they ran out of just about everything else. So I can’t comment on their other dishes

Great classic BBQ joint. They have all the good stuff you can think of. Their smoked wings are huge and delicious the smoke in them is amazing and BBQ sauce in them is perfect. Great place for lunch and dinner to go or dine in.

We are new to the area and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the ribs were wonderful, as was the sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, cornbread and greens. As with a lot of places nowadays avoid the mashed potatoes if you are not a fan of instant. Overall a great place to stop in especially if going to Schnucks to avoid over buying due to hunger. Prices are reasonable, not a fan of plastic silverware but will go back for sure.

We went to Rib Stations’s first anniversary event. They were handing out free samples of food, but we got there early, so we decided to order some food for our toddler. We got him the pulled pork with macaroni and cheese. The peek was very good, and the sauce they use is really good. The macaroni and cheese was so good that I went back and ordered more. It’s all homemade. We were then ready to sample the other menu items. The chicken wings are exactly the way they should be. They weren’t breaded, but the skin is so crispy, and the meat is so juicy. The sauce is excellent as well. The brisket was also good and Smokey. My favorite may have been the Hawaiian stuffed burger. It was so tasty. As for the sides, the green beans, potato salad, baked beans, and Mac and cheese are my favorite. The restaurant itself is super cute. It’s really clean. The staff is really nice. They are super friendly, and I love that it’s a family owned and operated business. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

While walking down the shopping center I looked in the window and saw several tables occupied and thought, what the heck, I’m always open to adding another good bbq place to my list. And I am, but this one won’t make the cut… I only had the pulled pork so I can’t comment on the other meats, but what I had was definitely pulled and tan in color, but it had no smoke taste at all, and not even a hint of rub. It could have been boiled for all I know. They said they had two smokers ‘out back’ but I tasted no evidence of them. I’ve had some of the best ‘Q in the country and I know what I’m taking about — this is a place to avoid. On the good side, their sides were pretty good. I had green beans and corn and both were pleasantly flavored and not over cooked, that’s not supposed to be the best thing you can say of a bbq place.
