Whiskers staff are professional pet sitters/​dog walkers who are insured and bonded. Our dependability helps with puppy and cat care. We also «sit» fish, birds and other small pets. Pet sitting is available in my home or yours.

History

Established in 2007.

Liz Kedan, the owner, had to reinvent herself after suffering a devastating surgery. Her husband was a veterinarian, and she has a love for animals, large and small. When a friend asked her if she would care for her dog going through chemo therapy, while she was away, and then a neighbor asked her to sit for their dog, the idea of opening her own pet sitting/​dog walking business took hold. The business grew, Liz hired other pet sitters, and Whiskers Pet Sitting/​Dog Walking Service, LLC is entering it’s 7^th year.

Liz’s first pets were baby chicks her dad had brought home which began her love of all animals, small and large. Liz’s husband was a Veterinary Dermatologist who she loved to assist in his animal hospital. Sick or abandoned animals seemed to find their way to lLiz’s and Gregg’s home. Three legged or no teeth, blind or deaf, or just unwanted were loved and cared for by them. Peggy Sue, a three legged tailless rat, was a favorite of the family. This love was passed to their children, and now, their grand children.
