Spent $ 800+ on repairs. The next day the car died. Waste of money. Try to avoid this place if you can at any cost. If I could I would give them negative stars.

I hate walking into this place as an older, white woman. They have no shame and will up sell us everything, including tires we don’t need.

The car that I had just purchased broke down on me out of nowhere! I was freaking out and since we were close my husband took it there… thank God! They were great! I usually feel cheated at repair shops because they are usually vague but not these guys. Not only did they do a great job and were nice, they were persistent when contacting my warranty company which was not answering. They really took care of me. Highly recommended!

Great experience, came in for a tire (they had by far the best price) and there was a system error where it was not in stock as indicated. The manager Anthony and service tech Charlie were very apologetic and gave me a 15 percent discount for having to come back the next day.

So I never review auto places, but this place really does deserve a thumbs up. Last year, on our annual trip to Maine, my dad’s van broke down and it was a hot mess. We had to get a tow to pep boys, the only place open on memorial day weekend.
The general manager was so helpful and accommodating. He knew we had somewhere to get to, so he let us leave the van until our trip was over (we hitched a ride with friends). We picked up the car after the weekend trip was over. He understood our — my — frustration. We ended up leaving with NO fees as they weren’t able to do major work. The mechanics performed a temporary solution and warned us that we may not make it back safely to NJ… And it was on my dad, just in case, if he were to take the car and drive it. We rented another van — just in case — my boyfriend drove it and spotted my dad’s injured van.
Fortunately, we made it back in one piece. I really tip my hat to this pep boys. The manager handled everything professionally, esp my irate self. We don’t Don’t expect to run into them again on any trips, buy they were really top notch.
