My daughter and son-​in-​law hired Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering for their wedding last year and the food was delicious. The staff was great. Guests are still talking about the food.

Hiring Fitzgerald’s was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding. Nicholas was so easy to work with and the food was amazing (my guests are still raving about it). The best part, though, was how Fitzgerald’s really made our party come together. I had absolutely no stress at my wedding due entirely to Nicholas’s team’s competence and professionalism. We were so lucky to have Fitzgerald’s cater our wedding.

Nicholas catered our wedding and I honestly can’t say enough positive things about the entire experience of working with Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering; I’m honestly fighting to find words to express just how incredible an experience it was to having him as our caterer.
Based on our tasting months and months ago, I had been talking him up quite a bit to all of my friends and family who would be at the wedding, perhaps to the point where I had risked promising too much to them. Sure enough, Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering lived up to the expectations that I’d created– and surpassed them– as person after person raved to me about how delicious everything tasted.
We experienced prompt, clear communication and everything was described in complete detail. Any questions we had were answered completely. Based on some other experiences I’ve had with caterers before I kept waiting for the «catch» or hidden fees that would get snuck in, yet it never did. Despite being on a tight budget we were able to afford his services and I honestly look forward to the next time I can host an event with his services.
In short, Nicholas is a genuine individual whose passion for service comes across in the entirety of the experience that you’ll have with him. I simply can’t say enough about how thankful I am for his incredible skill and friendly professionalism and hope to employ him many more times in the future. Planning/​Booking:
We sat down with Nicholas and went over our ideas, budget and atmosphere we would like to set at our wedding reception. He offered a lot of recommendations and guidance, filling us in on all of the ways to achieve the type of reception we had envisioned within our budget, along with providing us some great hors d’oeuvres to snack on throughout our meeting.
After meeting with several caterers we went with Fitzgerald’s because the level of communication stood out. Nicholas was quick to respond to questions and able to walk us through the entire event process while itemizing all of the details. Other caterers that we had met with responded with very canned/​prepackaged proposals and sales pitches, we felt that Nicholas truly listened and cared.
The Event:
They arrived early, quickly setup and had everything ready to go prior to guest arrival. We had large groups of people arriving by bus and were concerned about immediate crowding at the bar, this wasn’t an issue, and service was superb. As we moved through our reception greeting guests, we found everyone extremely pleased and vocal about how good the food was, especially the crab dip. The quality of service was excellent and we were well taken care of.
Final Notes:
It’s important to add that we DID NOT have a wedding planner, so we had to make sure that everything was in place and coordinate the event setup, wedding party, photography, transportation, timing, and everything else happening at our own reception. A lot of vendors had questions before and during our reception… This was not the case with Nicholas and his team. They came in and put on a perfect performance. There weren’t any questions or any day-​of confusion and we can’t thank them enough for that. All of our guests were incredibly pleased with the food and service and we couldn’t be happier.

Nick did our outdoor wedding at Groton Long Point in Connecticut last month and we are still eating leftovers! delicious food, we had the most amazing bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp cocktail, steak, yummy asparagus and lots of others! He was sharp, replying immediately to any concerns, easy going and sweet to all my crazy bridal questions. The service was spectacular, the bartender made excellent drinks and food was amazing. They packed up all the leftovers for us and cleaned everything up so well! Amazing, professional service and yummy!

We used them for the Grand Opening event for one of our stores in Bridgeport (PosiGen) 300 people + event. Fitzgerald’s catered my company’s holiday party 2 years in a row.
The food was delicious. The servers were friendly without being too familiar with the guests. And, because they own all their own china, glassware and linens — we didn’t have to worry about renting all the stuff ourselves. Everything was coordinated by them from setup to cleanup — all I had to do was choose my food and write a check.
I would recommend them to anyone.
