Bland chicken and bland mashed p. but I am comparing it to KFC. Throw some salt, pep and a few other spices for god sake.

The chicken is awesome when paired with the sauce, it’s good by itself. I always make sure to stop by when I’m in the area and get the champagnes with BBQ sauce. The sides(Mac n Cheese, greens, coleslaw, etc. Leave something to be desired though)

Tangy BBQ wings are to die for… Be sure to call ahead, as everything is made to order and can take a little

I was pleasantly surprised with how great the food was here. I expected it to be your average tasting chicken BUT after I had the first buffalo champagne I couldn’t stop eating. I mean even after the heat hit my taste buds I was determined to keep going. I keep throwing back those delicious pieces of chicken like it was my last night being able to eat meat. Also had a small order of JJ’s which is basically more chicken, well chicken fried potatoes which is one of the best ideas anyone has come up with. Honorable mention: that tangy honey bbq sauce… I swear I’m trying to make my own so I have access everyday to pour on everything. That’s how good it is.

Finally, after nearly two weeks of being closed for vacation, as it is that time of year when many family owned businesses do close — after all they do work hard — -it’s GREAT to have some yummy Drumstik BBQ again! My fiancé was having a craving for their famous champagnes, and I their yummy buffalo wings! Of course, had their green coleslaw and Mac n cheese to go with dinner. Thankfully being a Friday night, it was only a 15 – 20 minute wait from the time I called in the order.

Pretty good chicken and fried liver. Food was fresh and served hot and crispy. They have a fairly large selection of fried foods and sides to go. Wait is long as to be expected, I would suggest calling in since there are only 2 tables to eat there. Also they charge for sauces so be prepared if you need some hot sauce.

The real deal, old skool fried chicken and more. We get cravings for this chicken and I’ll gladly drive the 20 minutes each way for it. Staff is friendly and hard working and the fried chicken is about the best in Fairfield County. Don’t forget their famous green coleslaw and deviled eggs! For the more adventurous they also serve fried chicken livers, gizzards and hearts and if you have kids they do «champagnes» which I think are nuggets.

I am from the Deep South and love fried chicken. I think that Drumstick BBQ has the the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. It is worth the horrible parking to get this chicken. I love that they also serve serve gizzards. They do not waste any part of the chicken.

I went here for the ribs overall food was average. The ribs were decent but they skimped on the sauce and then charge extra for them. The meat was tender, so that was a positive. The mac and cheese tasted like it was frozen and purchased from a grocery store. Cheap prices, thats why they get 3 stars. The food was mediocre though.

Definitely get the deviled eggs, green slaw and any of the fried chicken dinners! The tangy bbq sauce isn’t really bbq and it might be all the leftover sauces combined, but it’s still delish to dip the chicken in!

Love Drumstik!!! Have been visiting since I was a little girl. Everytime I am near, I stop by to catch up and to get my favorite«fried chicken livers» cooked well. Had a lil chat with EJ. great guy. Young, respectful and full of entrepreneurial spirit. Keep focused EJ. all of your dreams for Drumstik will come true. Thanks for keeping this legend, alive and making that special batch for me tonight.

I don’t even know where to begin with this. Like others who read the reviews here, I am always in search of what is perceived as the«best anything» be it food, service, etc., so it was no different when I had a craving for chicken, I came to Unilocal.Upon reading the reviews for this place, I thought: «Man do I really want to waste gas driving down to Bridgeport…» Lo and behold I took the +40 minute trip. Before I speak about the food, I am starting to believe some of these businesses listed here are somehow gaming Unilocal reviews. Be it having friends, family, etc place reviews… My faith in Unilocal has been dwindling. Enough of that though, let’s talk about the food. Growing up in NYC(Brooklyn to be exact), I had no problem with the location of this establishment. Who hasn’t seen people playing dice in the alleys surrounded by 40oz of beer, the smell of «trees», and the overall quick thought: «Should I have wore my bulletproof vest just to come here and get chicken?» The location is dive-tacular and parking is a mess. Unless you don’t mind the typical pants-sagging, trap-music listening local wanna be thug, you’re likely going to want to skip out eating in the establishment. Then again, if you did bring your bulletproof vest, some bling, whatever floats your boat.(Being semi-sarcastic by the way). As Wendy Williams would say: «You in the hood now baby.» Irrelevant to an extent, but funny. The wait? Horrible. You may take this as a good sign: «They’re always full! This is because the food is so good… This is why you have to wait so long…» Nonsense. The food here is bland. Bland with a slight taste of bland. I have had better chicken from Stop and Shop, Big Y, and dare I offend people… KFC. The food left a lot to be desired, most of which is taste. There is zero taste to their chicken. No tangy taste, no zippy taste, nothing that screams: «Oh wow!» The chicken tastes like I ate a spoon of Crisco. Maybe I caught them on a bad day? … Who knows but I can tell you I won’t be caught on another day as I won’t waste my time driving to this place again. The funniest portion of this all, is when upon paying for my food with my Amex, I was told«We always require picture ID’s» This should let you know what kind of place you’re eating at. The only upside was, they didn’t have a bulletproof partition between you and the cashier. Made ordering bland food a cinch!

Tried it for the first time last week. Fried chicken breast was awesome. Crispy and non-greasy. Yummy fried mushrooms. I don’t understand the concept of having deviled eggs here, they don’t seem to belong, but we had to try them. Not how I’m used to them being prepared(there seemed to be mustard in the mixture) but hey, I liked them. Probably would get a 4 pack again. Macaroni and cheese was alright, great taste, but the macaroni was cooked too much. Pretty good cole-slaw. Not really a «sit-down» place as there was one picnic table in there and 3 bar stools, a run down pacman arcade game and a «claw» game machine with outdated prizes from the 90’s in it. The gumball machine doesn’t look like it’s been touched in years. Regardless, the food will have us coming back for more.
