I purchased tires at Pep Boys Brick NJ six months ago. Purchased road hazard insurance Have a nail in my tire. They wanted me to pay $ 80!!! As much as I paid the first time. Left and purchased a tire at Firestone $ 79 w road hazard NEW. Pep Boys could Not produce a copy of the road hazard insurance. Stay away they are a rip off!!!

I dont normally do reviews but this time I had today. Today, Sunday at 4:00 pm I ran into a problem with my car, smoke pouring out from under the hood. I called Sears since I was close to them (2 minutes away) and they refused to help me until tomorrow even after I told them I was within minutes from them, a single mom with no help for rides etc. I explained it was probably a cracked hose. I called Pep Boys and at first they wanted to wait until tomorrow, when I explained my situation to them they let me bring the car over immediately and they fixed it. It it wasnt for them I would be stuck walking home, no car and no way to get to work tomorrow. Thank You to the wonderful girl who answered the phone when I called and to the guys who took care of my car. You are a life saver.

The customer service at Pep Boys was excellent. Very nice and knowledgable. I had nails in three of my tires after driving through a construction zone on Route 35. The technicians patched and repaired all three tires. And when I went to pay, I was told that it was free of charge and given a rewards card. I am still in disbelief. It was over an hour of labor on their part. And they fixed three of my tires for free. During my waiting time, I saw several customers come in and they were all given great customer service. Pep Boys in Brick now has a customer for life.

CHANGE! If you see my below review from May, I praised this Pep Boys. WAIT! They have changed management and have mostly new techs and THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS!
I dropped my car off this morning at 9:30am for an oil change, Diagnosis of an engine light, and for a suspension check-​up. Jim (the ‘new manager’) told me that he would call me with the details before they did any repairs. While he was entering my car in the system, I called the taxi company to take me to the local movies theater while I wait. At 1:00pm when I called to inquire why I hadn’t received a call, they said «Oh, we haven’t brought your car inside yet». 3.5 hours when my appointment was at 9:30 and they HADN’T EVEN LOOKED AT IT? The manager knew I had gone to the movies while I waited for them to DO THEIR JOB!
Oh well — NEVER AGAIN… I am also calling Bryan Boyce, the District Manager. Jim — you need to learn how to manage a repair shop.

This location has a staff that cares. Store manager, Josh Kaiser, and Brian Boyce always have the answers with whatever my car needs. I drive a ’08 Honda Civic with almost 100k on her, but she runs fine with their help.
I have repeatedly returned to this location even though there are closer mechanics. They are top notch and I will be returning soon.
