We specialize in edible and native gardens. We’ll help you design, install and maintain new raised vegetable beds, orchards, and perennial beds especially suited for Westchester County. You’ll also learn how to harvest your own vegetables and cut flowers for arrangements with our one-​on-​one gardening classes.

History

Established in 2011.

Garden Thyme NY Inc was founded by Yaacov Teplow-​Phipps 2011 after working for several of the best landscaping firms in NYC/​Westchester and the Cloisters Museum for the past 10 years. Yaacov also studied landscape design at the New York Botanic Garden, is an accredited organic land care professional and is licensed to apply organic pesticides.

Our mission is to help people grow organic vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers and to green up Westchester.

Business Owner

Yaacov Teplow-​Phipps founded Garden Thyme NY Inc in 2011 after beautifying properties in the Metro NY area for over a decade.

As a child, Yaacov could be found on his grandparents’ organic farm picking raspberries, harvesting vegetables and mowing their field whenever possible (once he could reach the pedals of the tractor without sitting on his father’s lap).

Yaacov’s horticulture career took off in high school after taking a summer job with a local landscaper who specialized in designing very colorful and natural looking gardens and pest management.
