Salingers orchard features our own locally grown beautiful fruit. apples, peaches, nectarines, plums and pears are our specialities. everyone loves our delicious fresh pressed, preservative free cider. History
Established in 1901.
Edgar Salinger started a chicken farm in Brewster New York in 1091. Eggs were shipped into NYC in wooden boxes on the train. we still have some old, hand written ledger books from 1918. Edgar’s son, Sigmund, turned the farm over to apples, and today, Sigmunds son, Bruce, grows over twenty varieties of apples, pears, peaches, plums and other fruit. Bruce’s wife, Maureen, manages the bakery that produces scones, muffins, apple cider donuts and pies.

Bruce was born and raised on the farm. After graduating from Ithaca college in 1972 he returned home to carry on the family business.
