Established in 1999.

R&D Flooring is family owned and operated with over 35 years in the flooring industry. Ray DeMayo the owner grew up in westchester surrounded by the flooring industry. Before selling flooring, Ray was an installer for many years. He has a hands on approch with all our customers. We just wanted to compliment the installer on the job he did. His work ethic and discipline showed in the quality of the finished product. Aspects of the job for which we wondered and worried about were completed in such a way to make more tolerable the high cost of the job. The transitions from room to room, for example, were handled with extraordinary taste and workmanship. Paulo pulled it all together and produced a floor that is not only serviceable and attractive, but one that improves the entire ambience of the home. We had hoped for such an improvement, but Paulo’s skill, artistry, taste and cleverness provided much more than we had even hoped for. We highly recommend Paulo Borba for his skills and character. We have no problem in giving Mr Borba five stars for his contribution.

These guys size you up and take you for what they can get.
I went in looking for a carpet pad for an area rug, about 6′ x 9′. But the guy who cuts the pad off the roll wasn’t there — they really didn’t want to sell it to me — so they said it would be $ 50 and come back later. Then the guy walked in — and because I didn’t want to have to go elsewhere, I said, sure, I’d take it. So they gave me a piece. When I got it home and went to lay it out, they obviously had had this out on a job — the pad had a huge cut through the felt, had grit from where it had been on the floor or ground.
And, while I was waiting for them to «cut» the piece to size, I looked at an area rug that was on the floor. They were willing to make me a deal to buy that right now. I suspect they will quote whatever price they think will sell something that day.
While I don’t know about other places around, I’d try elsewhere before coming back here.
