History

Established in 1955.

Started by Dr Henry A Ross, as Ross Optical, the business relocated to Brewster NY in 1976 and Dr Joseph Ross, took over the development. Dr Joseph Ross added holistic care and began treating Macular Degeneration with natural approaches that reversed many cases of moderate and mild vision loss. The office today offers care from Dr Ross as well as Dr Jay Desai who specializes in family vision care and sees children as young as 3 months of age.

Dr Joseph Ross, is the founder of the Holistic Eye Care concept beginning way back in 1976. As a software author he designed DRI, digital retinal imaging to help diagnose eye and systemic disease through the eyes. He is the president of the Opti​mal​-Health​care​.com group of holistic doctors and well known for community leadership.
