Brewster Saturday lobby closed One person on drive up that didn’t have enough experience. New people all the time. Bank there from 1985 . I am thinking of changing banks .

Went here to open a simple free checking account. The woman who was setting up my account had an extremely hard time using the computer. She was very nice however did not seem to know anything about their system or even the different types of accounts for that matter. After inputting me into the background check system, with the wrong birthday, it was coming back with an error. I waited 25 minutes while she and another employee tried to use the system. I was told I should probably leave and come back when they call me. I was contacted 10 minutes later and was denied an account. They needed me to come back to the back to sign a paper. They then directed to the company that provides them with background information and said I needed to contact them as to why I was not approved. I was very confused and proceeded with contacting the other company.
After waiting a week for that company to send me my report, I received my information. I was clear and there was nothing wrong as I suspected. I was relieved. I returned to the bank. They shrugged and signed me up. No apologies or explanation.
This bank is probably fine, but nothing like my experiences with other banks. Didn’t seem all that professional and definitely lacked customer service.
