By joining us in our downtown freight house — full of precious gems from private mine shafts around the world — you’re able to mine for your own gemstones and try your luck at striking it rich! Just like a real prospector from the 1800’s!

History

Established in 2013.

Crystal Mountain Gem Mine is owned and operated by Chris Cloer who started the business when he was only 18 years of age. His family has worked in the Gem and Mineral business for nearly 10 years now, and have become the leaders in the Gem Mining community. Crystal Mountain Gem Mine was put in the beautiful town of Brevard NC to help bring more families with children to the downtown area.

In the first year the attraction was open it quickly became #1 attraction for families to do in Brevard; and is now the overall top attraction.

Locals and tourists alike find Crystal Mountain to be a fun place to either shop, or mine for gemstones in their indoor gem mine. If you’re in town, be sure to swing by and say hello! We are open every day!
