Specialties

Adele’s Retreat is a quiet, convenient, clean vacation rental house in Brevard, 35 miles into the mountains outside Asheville, NC. We are new to Yelp, but have provided peaceful respite for guests since 2009 — 5+ years! We’ll have reviews here soon. In the meantime please search for Adele’s Retreat online to learn what people think of us.

Our focus is not only on providing an artistic, clean, comfortable, convenient, fully-stocked, safe, tastefully decorated, quiet, and organized place to stay in Brevard. I also am a resource for you as you plan your visit.

I am happy to provide information and opinions about biking and hiking trails, bike rentals, playgrounds, waterfalls, family hikes, restaurants, and more. So please, email to ask if you have a question. If I don’t know an answer, I’ll to point you to someone who might.

After you arrive, in addition to plenty of fiction, our living room library contains many travel books and lots of area information to read and review during your stay.

The Brevard Greenway is easily accessible our house (8 minutes by bike), we are walking distance to downtown, and to the seasonal farmers market.

Bikers love our house because the garage is perfect for bicycle storage. Brevard Music Festival attendees, who sometime stay for a month or more, enjoy getting to know the neighborhood, comment on the friendliness of the neighbors, the quirky mountain-town charm, and all the activities the Brevard area has to offer.

History

Established in 2009.

This was not purchased as a vacation home, but when we met and married, we each came with a house. We love Brevard and definitely didn’t want to sell our house. We decided to try renting ‘Adele’s Retreat’ after the birth of our daughter in 2009.

Why the Owner Chose Brevard:

Brevard is a beautiful place — the air is cleaner. Your pace slows as you become a part of this small town. It’s so much kinder to the spirit than the big city. My husband had been riding (road and trail) in this area for 10 years before he finally decided to settle here. We keep the house with the hope that it will someday make sense for our family to live here. We hope you’ll enjoy our home during your stay.

The Unique Benefits at this House:

Something to think about: If you have a rental home somewhere (ANYwhere — worldwide!) we are open to the idea of trading time in our house for yours. Send me a note :-)

I started managing a small rental property for myself in 2006. Now we have multiple properties (1 house in Brevard, NC and 5 apartments in Roanoke, VA). At times I also help friends and relatives with rentals in the Charlottesville and Richmond, VA areas.
