Mccurleys Abbey Carpet & Floor

Great sales job but an awful installation experience from beginning to end. Late to start, many weeks late to finish and, after 10 months, the job remains incomplete. During the month and a half long installation process, many serious mistakes were made, including scratches left on the new hardwood flooring and several attempts to «fix» mistakes made in the install process, resulted in an eyesore much worse than the original mistakes.

Eric came to my home and apologized for what was obviously a botched hardware floor install, took pics of the flooring and said, as leaving the door, «don’t worry – I will make this right.» Nearly 10 months later, still nothing but a series of failed negotiations by Eric to use the *original* installer, the same one we already allowed several previous attempts to fix his original mistakes. Why would any customer be satisfied with such a solution?
I’ve tried to acquire estimates from reputable floor contractors to fix. All have reviewed the pics and have said they would rather not spend their time fixing the problem. Each have recommended a complete reinstall.
My next step is to call the Contractors Board of California.
I strongly recommend against using McCurleys. The previous owner had a sparkling reputation because he valued quality and customer satisfaction (this is what I have learned from other local floor installers). The new owner, Eric, has no credibility.

From beginning to end we had a great experience with McCurley’s. We recently moved in and the old carpet smelled like pet urine and was very worn. We had a «deadline» to get new carpet in due to family coming in last minute. They went above and beyond to get us our carpet ordered and installed before my family got here. They were very professional and friendly. Eric came out and measured and even went as far as taking the time to give me suggestions on where to take my family when they came in to visit. I would highly recommend this family owned company.

Came across Mccurleys on Unilocal because we were told by our carpet cleaner that the carpet in our new place had a whole lot of urine stains and there was no point cleaning it. Went in there and met Eric, the owner. We told him that were in a rush and had to get this done right away as we were scheduled to move in soon. He came and measured the area right away. He is an awesome guy and very personable. We decided to have them do the carpeting for our 2^nd floor and stairs and we purchased tiles for the rest of the house. He gave us a great deal and great customer experience. There was some issues with the shipment of the tiles but that’s expected when your shipping 2300 sqft of tiles on 5 pallets. He was on top of the whole thing and apologized about the inconvenience. His installers were professional and got the job done right. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

This is the worse company. I bought vinyl plank and it was installed thanksgiving last year. After 3 months my dogs feet have scratched up the whole house. The flooring was purchased thru this company’s sister company National Flooring. Mc Curley personally come to my house in February. But nothing has been done yet. Warranty is not being honored, no customer support nor communication about this filed complaint. I do believe that dogs feet should not scrape up flooring. But worse yet, is that this company owned by Mc Curley’s has not tried to rectify the situation, nor have they tried to communicate what the progress is being done by the manufacturer of the flooring. I would think that I should get weekly follow up calls to notify me of how they will back their product and how my flooring will be replaced. But this company has done nothing to communicate with me or my attorney to find solutions to this dis-​satisfied customer. So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will most likely end up in small claims court. This company can not be trusted to back up their products and seem not to care about customer satisfaction!!!

We had new carpet installed by McCurleys. They were professional, reliable and did a good job. Their carpet prices were higher than Home Depot and Lowes, but there were no hidden fees (unlike those other businesses). We had several estimates and they were all within a few dollars of each other. So we decided to go local and we were not disappointed.

Worst service ever! And also not the least expensive, so I had high expectations. Left the job (laminate flooring install) unfinished. They put flooring in my master bedroom and closet area. They measured wrong and ran out of planks — which put them behind their schedule. After ripping out all the carpet & padding, I am told they need to put a layer of sub-​floor down — at significant cost to ME. They left the job when 3 doors would not close because the transition piece was too high. They claimed it’s not in their contract to cut the doors. ??? The transition piece at the fireplace tile never got glued down properly. The workers were very nice and I’m sure were just working on the owner’s direction. The owner is rude and condescending. All in all, a horrible experience. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend McCurley’s flooring for any flooring needs. Jaclyn is very professional and wonderful to work with. She was definitely a big help in helping me make my hardwood and carpet choices.

Best carpet selection around brentwood. Easy to take home carpet samples. Store service, measuring, and installation was perfect. Top notch.

We will only use Mccurleys for all of our floor needs. We’ve had them install hardwood in 3 rooms so far. The quality and finish are fantastic. Eric’s knowledge of all types of flooring is masterful and his crew are excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Finding a company that you can trust is hard. Like other consumers we did our research & comparisons. I am glad that we chose MC CURLEY ABBEY in BRENTWOOD. Eric and his staff are very professional. Eric was very cool and funny, not to mention he is a Feng Shui beleiver like me heheheh… My husband & I enjoyed conversing with him. He helped us find the right Hardwood and tiles, he even let us bring the actual samples from his showroom.(so we can see how its gonna look in our house). They completed the 1^st floor already and it was soooo beautiful (i will try to post a picture). And the stairs steps they angled it perfectly. Home Depot (their competitor) refused to change the rounded steps by the way and limited us to choose carpet instead for our stairs which i dont like). Well Im glad I followed what my horoscope is telling me! We are so happy how it turned out!

Eric, Rhonda and the entire team are awesome. The showroom is very nice. All carpet and flooring samples are laid out in orderly fashion.
We ended up having them installed new carpet and baseboard in our upper floor. Starting from being on time and professional during the estimate, an experienced team of carpet and baseboard installer doing the install, everything went perfectly. The new carpet and baseboard are beautiful, feels like living in a new house.
You can find cheaper carpet elsewhere, but if you want high quality product, a team of professional handling the transaction and installation, look no further!

I love visiting McCurleys. They have a wide range of quality materials. The people are very friendly and helpful. I like that the owner is hands on. He came out and measured and he sent three professional carpet installers. I say professional because I think they could install carpet with the eyes blindfolded. They took half a day to remove the old and install the new. I had to call them back for a problem caused by another contractor and they came once again when they said they would. I definitely would use them again. They have also repaired my Oreck vacuum cleaner after the handle fell off. So thank you McCurleys you are awesome!

McCurley’s installed my hand scraped laminate flooring about 2 months ago. I couldn’t be happier with the product and installation. The foor looks absolutely amazing and the attention to detail on the installation was great. The three installers who did the job were friendly, polite, trustworthy and true professionals.
Evrybody who has seen the floor comments on how good it looks. We had several bids to install new floors, but McCurley’s was the most professional and knowledgable we came across. I would highly recommend them and I will be having them install my new carpet.

It’s been about a month since my floors have been completed and I absolutely love the product, installation and support. I have invited friends to see it and each one of them said that they’d never seen a more beautiful laminate floor.

Two years ago we purchased porcelain tile from McCurley’s and had them do the installation for our master bathroom. Eric Metz, «The Floorologist», did a great job coordinating the tile.
It turned out beautiful and I can now really appreciate the grout lines since I am learning to tile.
