IT Avalon was started as a «one-​man-​show» our of the owner’s house in March of 2012. We have now grown into a national IT Staffing firm working with some of the largest companies in the world. IT Avalon is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we have clients from New York City to Hawaii.

I have almost 20 years of Technical Recruiting experience. I have worked for and learned from some of the best in the industry in both small start-​ups and large corporations. I have managed recruiting and sales teams, but have always been a «hands-​on» producer.

Hobbies: I enjoy Singing and Playing Drums, Volunteering, lifting weights, jogging, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

Active Member of Rotary International.

I have had a great relationship with IT Avalon and it’s executives since 2005 and they have always been extremely professional and committed to helping both of their Clients and Candidates achieve Successful solutions. I have been on both sides, both a Client and a Candidate and in both events with IT Avalon’s relationships, I was able to both find excellent Candidates as well as land several jobs myself when I was on the market as a Consultant. John Zink is committed to exceeding expectations and creating the right relationships with both Top Management as well as Top Candidates to make the perfect match. John Z. will promise you’re the perfect fit for an assignment but he won’t tell you about the **negative history** of that assignment (or its lead manager) until it dumps on you like a ton of bricks! I have experience as a senior IT Project and Program Manager that spans almost 20 years. Sure there will be gigs you enjoy more than others. But when you’re placed in a minefield? That crosses the line. I actually enjoy «ambiguity» and «chaos» in an assignment… I’ve successfully thrived in those circumstances.
I have had a singular experience with John and his firm and found that they provide nothing but lip service to the problems. The project in question ultimately burned through 2 more PMs before the project hit a hard stop for exactly the reasons I reported to John and IT Avalon.
Fortunately, we can move on and avoid a dysfunctional client and avoid firms like IT Avalon, Me? Just successfully provided Program Management for the Integration PMO of a $ 500 million merger. Happy again.
