Cool Spring Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

I chose this office as my primary physicians office because I wanted a place I felt was welcoming to young adults (its a tough niche between child and adult). I feel that late teens and 20s is a specific age range that is best taken care of in a family practice office or one specifically for young adults. In addition to that, I wanted my doctor to have flexible hours and be tech-​savvy. This location is very good about making same day appointments and if they can’t squeeze you in, they actually have a walk in clinic attached to the office. They also send out automatic emails and texts to you if you opt for these reminders. The office is also very responsive and responds to requests within hours. My doctor, Dr. Thorley is very thorough and easy to talk to. I can also log into my patient files online with an online account. Whats even better is this office is connected to Vanderbilt hospital so any service you use at Vanderbilt is in their internal system. Records are very organized and doctors are able to coordinate care together quite easily. Parking is easy and really, I have no complaints so far.

We just moved here and I heard SO many great things about this practice that my husband and I switched to a very expensive health care plan just to be able to be seen here, along with our 4 year old. One doctor for all THREE of us … genius. And let me just say that Dr. Karlekar is worth every penny. Absolutely cannot say enough. She is everything you want in a Doctor and more. Feel so lucky to have found her. From the minute you walk in, everyone is so friendly and accommodating. It’s the best :)

Great medical care but not very good with customer service. I routinely have to wait longer than I think is reasonable. They don’t seem to recognize that their patients have busy and important schedules too.

Very nice dr and nurses. Good rapport with kids and parents. Accounting has been less than stellar. I think they implemented a new system it or at least that is what they said when they billed for a visit that had been in 2013. So hopefully no more delays like that.

We were in the area house hunting and our three week old was unable to breathe for a while. We helped her out then rushed up to this place since it was the closest pediatric office to us. Everyone was very nice and attentive to us and our baby and they reacted quickly. We would definitely recommend the place!

They are always able to fit me in when I call last minute with for an appointment. Dr. Karlekar is a wonderful doctor. She spends a lot of time in the office going over everything with me and making sure any questions I have get answered. She never makes me feel like I need to rush so she can get to the next patient. They even do confirmation calls so I never miss an appointment. Front staff is always friendly and helpful as well. They also have always taken whatever insurance I have which is great so I don’t have to keep switching doctors.

Been here for 30 minutes day after July 4^th. Everyone seems a bit behind the 8 ball. So the tip here is don’t make an appt. after a holiday. The RN was good, the doctor was good. Typical healthcare office.

I absolutely couldn’t think of any other place I could trust my 2011-​born bundle of joy with. Every time we walk through the door, you’d think our son was the only patient these people have. Each staff member carefully shows him love and attention. My son’s doctor is Bullock. He’s knowledgeable, real and funny. As a father of two, he’s very relatable.
Parking is easy, the facility is nice and the location is accessible.

This group is made up of 4 internists and pediatricians: Danny Edmonson, Brad Bullock, Kavita Singh, and Peter Swarr. They take care of kids and adults of all ages — from newborns to nonegenarians!
These guys and gal practice old-​fashioned family medicine. They treat a wide range of problems and know their patients well. They are some of the few docs who take care of their own patients if they need to be hospitalized today! It is easy to get an appointment, and they also run a walk-​in clinic if you need to be seen sooner — including evening and Sat hours.
I would recommend anyone in this practice to any family member or friend who needed a good general doctor.
