This is the worst place to deal with. They sell you cheap boxes for double to triple what you pay for uhaul boxes. When you try to return there low quality crap. They say all sales final. They have no faith in what they sell that’s why they won’t take it back.

Customer service! Customer service! I went there to return my uhaul item and was helped out right away! Made this a quick transaction at lunch time. Definitely will start to use this place for uhauls and storage!

I had to store some stuff from a quick move out situation. The staff was very nice in helping me out at the last minute. One thing that was nice is that they didn’t try to up sell me a more expensive unit. I rented a truck from them as well.
I have an inside unit and it was spotless. It is also climate controlled. Whenever I go to pick stuff up to go through it the place is clean and I haven’t seen any bugs.

Rented a Uhaul here after another location gave our reserved truck away. Great, friendly customer service!

All I can say is LISTEN to the Star Ragtings and look at the dates of the reviews.
I was over charged for gas when I returned the truck with the gage exactly where it was when I picked up. I took pictues to prove it including the workers had pointing to the ¼ full tank.
I will update my rating if and when Ken (who really is a very nice guy and provided great customer service when I picked up) reviews the pictues and corrects the over charge.
Update:
Shortly after this review I was contacted by a great gentleman in corporate who provided me with Ken’s contact info and assured me Ken would take care of this. I didn’t call right away because I became ill. However, just like I expected, Ken did follow up and I’m glad to say I was right about Ken. He followed thru and made sure everything was taken care of even when I couldn’t respond back in a timely manner. Ken is what will turn this business around. Amazing customer service, you have a winner in Ken!!!

Lady at front desk was extremely rude. She was curt with us from the very beginning, then repeatedly told us it was our fault our truck reservation was entered incorrectly. I have encountered more discourteous people. However, not many of them in the service industry. Do yourself a favor and take your money where it will be appreciated.

Don’t bother reserving a U-​Haul here. Pulled up to the back, because that is where I saw all of the U-​Hauls parked. Before I could ask the disgruntled, pony tail wearing jerk at the U-​Haul lot a question, he says, «office is down there. You’re being a hazard to me right now and I won’t serve you. Don’t blame me for your confusion!». I literally had just shut the door to the car and hadn’t said a word.
Ok. Anyway, I walk down the corner to check in and the front desk person says, «Oh yeah we had a problem with your reservation.» Well gee thanks. A phone call would have been nice. Instead they wait until I get there to tell me that some guy from a neighboring U-​Haul dealer in Oakley was supposed to drop off an extra truck for me yesterday but never did. They had a smaller truck that I was willing to take, but there was no gas in it so it wouldn’t start. The guys with a reservation before me didn’t have their reservation either, and they had hired a work crew to help them move. Great thing is that I was dropped off here, anticipating leaving in a U-​Haul.
About 30 minutes into me sitting there another lady up front asks with a laugh,“Did you get dropped off? Yeah that happens a lot.” Glad your screw up is so amusing to you. So I sat there for an hour to get picked up and dropped off at the Oakley U-​Haul rental place. They close at 3. I literally called them at 3:02 (yes it’s on my phone record) to let them know I had just left the gas station and would be there in a few minutes, and they had already closed for the day and left. Now I don’t know if they are going to hit me with some BS late charge fees due to their own screw up. If they hadn’t wasted an hour of my morning I would’ve been back with plenty of time to spare.
Oh yeah and when I complained about the maniac U-​Haul lot attendant the explanation I got was «Oh yeah it’s because people can’t bring their cars back there». Don’t expect a reservation to mean anything here, any apologies, and expect to get laughed on while you sit there for an hour with no truck.
I pray I get a survey from Corporate about this place.

They will treat you like crap… Units are units, but this place needs new management, a business is based on customer service and these people don’t have any good customer service at all. I took my business elsewhere and you should too.

Buyer beware!!! The management at this location is awful! We reserved a couple of trucks. When we went to pick one up we have a full load and did not drive into the back lot. They berated us for not driving in. The man that took care of the truck we vulgar, and he used the «F» word about ten times — literally. We have never been treated so poorly, ever. Needless to say we have contacted corporate, replied to the survey they sent us and have told all our friends. There are MANY other rental places in the area that welcome your business. Try them first.

I first rented my sorage unit in March 2003 and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Barbara, Kim, and Roger. The facility is very well maintained and properly secure and very clean. Prices are very reasonable and in the 7 years i have been there my rent only went up by $ 15. I only intended on keeping my things here for 2 – 3 months and found that i needed them long term. They were always willing to work with me if i needed extra time in paying my bill, and are more than accomodating in these hard economic times.
