I’ve stopped in several times after work and always feel underdressed coming from the shipyard most of the other patrons are in suits and having end of the day meetings here. The tapas are delicious, and about the expected size.

I’m a fan because this is a decent, put-together type of place to catch up with friends. You can’t go wrong with tapas/small plates style of food, and their bacon wrapped(or stuffed?) dates are wonderful. One thing I have noticed is that of the last two times I’ve been there, they have been out of more than one dish when we ordered. Seeing as how their food menu isn’t huge, it can be a bummer when they can’t make what you wanted to order. Arrive earlier to ensure you’ll have your choice of food, that’s for sure! Drink selection is large, and I had no problem finding something I would enjoy! The waitress seemed to know a lot about the drink menu and made good suggestions. That was a plus.

Great atmosphere, great microbrew selection! The bacon wrapped dates and tempura garlic artichoke hearts were delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

A nice find in the bremerton area, Toro Lounge has a great tap and wine list as well as great food. Their $ 5 cheeseburger special on Thursdays is a fantastic deal that comes with their awesome truffle fries. Happy hour menu is also tasty.

Great selection of brews… really poor service. Waited 15 minutes on a Wednesday early evening before I had to get up to ask a waitress if I could get some menus and a drink. Throughout our two hours there we had really poor service throughout. Had to call waitress and hostess over for two of our three drinks. Disappointing to say the least. And in response to the reply… we were seated at a table by the lady at the front door. Didn’t know we had to call«hey waitress» multiple times after we were seated. If we walked up to bar, I’d understand.

This place does not look like much from the outside, but it has a quality decorated interior that blends the industrial with the trendy. My husband and I stopped by here to enjoy some small bites and some drinks. We were a little early for happy hour, but their HH options looks great(something to look into going back to). I highly recommend the items we ordered: Bacon stuffed Dates – rich, flavorful, and AMAZING! The balsamic reduction on the plate paired perfectly with the date. Lamb Burgers — Quality, delicious, and filling. We ordered a fourth one so it was easy to share between both of us. Drinks – Toro has a large selection of local brews on tap, my husband got a red and I tried their blackberry cider which was delicious(tasted like juice… dangerous) If this resturant was closer, we would visit more often to try more of their drink selection and menu options.

The beer was warm and the burgers were cold. All four of our dishes came out at the same time. Tapas or regular food, not everything should be thrown on the table at the same time. Their kitchen needs to get it together, and the servers need to be better coached on how to serve their tables and continuity. I don’t want four different servers coming up to my table over the course of a meal. If you need more servers during the rush, then hire them. But it seemed as though there were plenty of servers and tons of disorganization, which led me to blame the manager and not my server. Servers behind the bar, in the kitchen, tending their tables, and trying to host. What a mess. If it weren’t for the delicious *dates* wrapped in bacon things I would have given this place one star, but I really liked those. Also, don’t call yourself a tapas place and then serve mostly basic bar food and absolutely nothing from Spain. Just call it like it is, a pub. EDIT: I edited this review because the owner of the restaurant actually responded! 0.0 That’s a first, and I guess at least they’re working on it! Go for the dates, leave before it gets busy.

A-OK food, drinks and prices, A-OK place. Won’t recommend my friends but if someone says let’s meet up there, I’d be happy to go.

We ordered an appetizer which should come first right and we got our main food first and when we asked the waitress about the app she said oh the kitchen cooks whatever they what first its weird, and then she just left came back and asked us if we still wanted the app we said no. So i ordered the chicken sandwich and it came with truffle fries which were good but the sandwich had dry ass bread and lil chipotle sauce that was supposed ti be on there it just tasted like plain chicken and bread :| and we were served with plastic cups idk why but some people had glass. Everything was just not organized it wasn’t professional at all.

Toro is a really chill lounge to kick back with a few small plates and enjoy the evening. I’m always very impressed with the food. Very flavorful and exciting pairings. The one thing you MUST order is the stuffed dates! Don’t be afraid of the goat cheese. I too am not a fan as it usually overpowers the dish and you are left feeling like you just sucked the hoof of a barnyard animal. Totally not the case here. I don’t even taste the cheese. Everything combines perfectly for a bacon wrapped piece of heaven. Bremerton will riot if they ever remove them from the menu! And I’ll be right up front, pitchfork in hand. Oh, wait… They recently changed the age limit. Before it was 21 and up to enter but now between certain hours they allow little ones and I’ve heard of a kids menu bring in the works a while back but I’m not sure how that panned out. This new development makes me very happy as I’d love to pop in for lunch with my kiddos in tow and not be restricted to dining on date night only. Good on you, Toro!

My husband and I had a great date night here! The Artwork on the walls is beautiful and the staff is extremely outgoing and friendly. They were very polite! The edamame was awesome I would absolutely recommend it!

Very tasty food and cool place in downtown area. Took the kids but it was too eclectic or foody of a place for them to appreciate. Lots of unique flavors and a constantly changing menu. So don’t expect to find the same stuff you see pictured here if it is old. Highly recommended.

The hubs and I love this place so much, we refused to tell our foody daughter and her hubby about it, so we could keep it to ourselves. We first became addicted to the bacon-wrapped dates(crack date-night food), then came the lamb sliders, I can’t even put words to the pizza and the truffle fries are amazeballs. Yeah, we adore this place. Just a wee bit.

For Bremerton, this is definitely THEBEST spot in town! The food here is EXCELLENT!!! My husband had both orders of tacos, I had the lamb sliders with truffle fries. We shared the cheesecake for dessert. The cook really does know what she’s doing! There’s also 20 beers on tap. I will be back for sure!

The food I had was excellent but the menu and service was atrocious. About the menu. First you must know that the menu is very limited even when they have everything on it. For entrées it consists of sandwiches(choice of BLT or chicken), tacos, pizza and dessert. We were informed when we arrived that they didn’t offer pizza that evening and if you wanted tacos it would be a 20 minute wait because they were not done cooking the meat. So, long story short had the choice of BLT or chicken. I wanted neither so I had lamb sliders with caramelized onions. They were very good but I had to order a side order of fries because it didn’t come with anything on the side. My wife had a chicken sandwich. It was nothing to write home about. Back to the drinks. My wife had a lemon drop. The first one was good. After she finished it our waitress asked if she wanted another. So another was ordered and after 15 minute in a pretty much empty restaurant, nothing. Our waitress was busy texting or playing games on her phone. Eventually the bartender asked if we needed anything and we requested the lemon drop. The second one was just so-so. There was jalapeño dip on the menu and we were looking forward to that, but nope! Didn’t have any! We bought gift cards for this establishment(that’s how we budget dinner out). We will be giving the other $ 50 away. Not going back. Also, as we were about to leave, an hour after we arrived, more patrons came in and we overheard the waitress telling them that if they want tacos it would be a 20 minute wait because they were still cooking the meat. I think that was just a line they told everyone.

All-in-all I like the Toro Lounge. The wait staff is friendly and it is one of the few good places to eat in Bremerton. That is if they don’t run out of food. On a Saturday night, at the start of their nightly happy hour, they were completely out of: –Fries including their truffle and sweet potato –Pizza, that’s all three pizzas on the menu –Hot sauce, they had one green well-used Tabasco left And apparently a couple of other appetizers as well, but being tired and hungry we stopped the poor waitress’s litany and snagged two dishes that were available. I get things happen. Likely there was an event or some sort of rush, but it’s horrible planning on management’s part. Especially with no offer of sides to substitute.

Excellent food and service. Could not be more pleased with the atmosphere and quality of the table settings. A very sophisticated joint which adds a hip flair in beverage choices and comida. Only slightly disappointed that they’re no longer offering mostly Spanish/Hispanic dishes. The lamb sliders are the best! All in all, we had a very good experience and we’re looking forward to seeing more new menu choices.

Toro Lounge is another great spot in downtown Bremerton and is Kitsap’s only gastro pub that I am aware of. The ambiance is good and there is a variety of seating options for you to choose from. Bar stools to lounge type seating in addition to the normal table and booth set up. Its a warm and casual atmosphere with a friendly staff that looked well groomed and dressed sharp. I selected a seat at the bar as I wanted to see the chef work in the kitchen. Bartender promptly took my food and drink order, he was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. I selected their new menu item the Truffle Cheese-stuffed steak with garlic fries for my main course and as a appetizer I selected the bacon wrapped scallops. Both choices were great, but the steak was by far the best. It was cooked perfectly and I wanted to have another five. Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and talking about their goal to locally source their menu items. Even if you’ve been here before you have to come back as the menu is always changing and making new tasty plates. Come on down and support a locally owned and sourced place, you will enjoy it.
