Whether you are a professional, a beginner, or even just curious, we have a class that fits your needs. History

Established in 2014.

After years of teaching, I discovered acting. Then I discovered teaching acting. It is the most fulfilling teaching experience I have had. I have been teaching since 1992. I taught in the public school system (I have taught almost every subject), in gyms (martial arts) and at Bay Area Acting Studio. I studied the Meisner technique for three years before training to teach the system. My talent for teaching lies in my ability to develop a fun and trusting classroom culture, and my ability to see through to the real people and help them truly express themselves. My philosophy is that everyone comes to class seeking something. Whether or not they can explain what they are looking for, they will know when they are on the path to finding it. After teaching acting for several years at the Bay Area Acting Studio, I decided to move south and start my own school. Come in, try a class, find what you are looking for!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Jay comes from a family of teachers. His father taught Physics and his mother taught ESL. With a B.A. in Literature, teaching was an obvious choice for Jay, but he never forgot his favorite college class: Acting 101. Years later, acting called to Jay and he began to study it and act in independent films and plays (in San Francisco). Eventually, he began to teach acting, combining two things he loved into one great job.
