Until I had what I refer to as «the root canal from hell,» I never understood why people were so afraid of them. I was an old pro… I’d had several!
Dr. Pullen saw me as an emergency patient on a Friday, when the Endodontist who did my procedure wasn’t available and the pain was getting worse instead of better after 3 days. At that time he put me on antibiotics and gave me a prescription for a pain reliever. The pain and swelling got worse and I was in the emergency room that night for IV antibiotics. Dr. Pullen called the next day but I was in Urgent Care getting another dose of IV antibiotics and missed the call. He called again that night, and after hearing about all I’d been through, asked me to come in on Monday, when he did a more indepth assessment of my tooth and discovered I had an infection. Two of the canals were left untreated and had become necrotic. He completed the procedure and referred me back to the care of my dentist to complete the permanent filling and crown.
I continued to have discomfort after the crown was placed, spoke with Dr Pullen, and he asked me to wait and see if it settled down after all the trauma the tooth had been through with the infection, and I agreed. When it didn’t after a couple of months, he had me return for a follow-​up visit. As luck or lack of would have it, the crown margins weren’t sealed, and cotton pellets and temporary filling he placed were under the now permanent crown… Are you getting some idea now why I refer to my experience as «the root canal from hell?» He properly sealed the tooth and placed a temporary crown on it.
I can’t begin to say enough about Dr. Pullen’s care for his patients, the professionalism and care of his staff, and the treatment I received. It took almost 9 to compete my root canal and it was because of this I was able to get through it with most of my sanity intact.

When I was 9, I smacked my face into concrete. Ever since then, I’ve had major dental procedures. Having a root canal done at Dr. Pullen’s office was one of the most comfortable experiences I’ve had. All his staff are friendly, accommodating and overall pleasant. The procedure was completely efficient. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel like a science experiment in a chair. This may sound strange, but the office’s appearance and smell is pleasant; it feels like you’re in someone’s beach front living room. Dr. Pullen is personable and makes you feel like a friend. It was nice to the point where I almost… almost took a nap. I’m very thankful that my dentist, Dr. Agnew (shout out to him as well) referred me to him. So… yeah…root canals aren’t that bad.

I survived my first root canal! I was very nervous & anxiety was creeping in going into it, but mine was painless, except for the annoying shot. Great doctor & staff. Dr. Pullen was so relaxed & funny. I laughed several times & even almost fell asleep twice because I was so relaxed. I would recommend Dr. Pullen to anyone!

Simple the best! Dr. Pullen and his staff are the most fun and professional I’ve known. Everything is handled to their best and they make you feel like family from the very first visit.

Had root canal here. Dr. Paula Elmi is absolutely the best! Her bedside manner and personality overall is second to none. The only drawback is they don’t do regular dental work (I would love to be able to deal with her for everything).
If you have to get this procedure done you cannot go wrong with them, they are fantastic!!!

Dr. Pullen and his staff have a GREAT sense of humor! It made getting a root canal somewhat entertaining! ;-) Plus, they played great music! They were professional, efficient, and friendly. I got my root canal yesterday and have absolutely NO residual pain. I took 3 ibuprofen after dinner just as a precaution, but didn’t really need it. I hope never to need another root canal, but if I had to, Dr. Pullen is the only one!!!

I had to re-​treat a root canal that had developed an infection. Dr. Pullen, immediately told me that the probability was small (40%) of saving my molar but after a tour of his facilities and after asking Dr. Pullen a million questions, I felt comfortable going forward with the surgery. The day I showed up, I was further impressed with the quality of the tools (i.e. Carl Zeiss Surgical Microscopes, 3D X-​Rays) he has invested on his facility. My surgery was very pleasant, he had an assistants passing him the tools as he needed, synchronized to the pace of the surgery. The total time of the surgery was about 1 hour and because he was working so well with the assistant, he was able to do the whole treatment in 1 session. That was 3 months ago. I just went back for my follow up and the infection looks to be healing very well and the X-​ray shows the progress. I have 1 more visit in about 4 months, so I hope to update this review with favorable results. I hope people find this review helpful. I know I will be back next time I need a root canal done… and I feel extremely comfortable recommending him to everyone I know… Keep up the good work Dr. Pullen and thanks for following up with my general dentist with your recommendations.

I have had three root canals in my 46 years of life. The first one was three years ago with Dr. Pullen, the second with my dentist and the redo on the 2^nd with Dr. Pullen. He’s THE ONLY person who will do any future root canals and the only one I recommend. He is amazing, his staff is amazing, and he is just a gentleman. All the high tech equipment he has invested in to give his patients the best care possible is commendable. 5 stars!

Dr. Pullen is an awesome endodontist! I have had more than my fair share of root canals and oral surgeries and he is the best ! I am big dental chicken and he put me totally at ease. The root canal he did was successful and pretty close to pain free. His staff is great, the office is comfy and his equipment is state of the art. I wish he did general dentistry! I can’t say enough good about Dr. Pullen.
