We have used Melrose Catering on several occasions for our office events since November 2013. Laura is truly a pleasure to work with, and her team is extremely professional. The food is very fresh and the quality is unquestionably the best! If you want something special, Melrose Catering can make it happen! This is truly a 5-​star catering company!

Laura was wonderful to work with, and Chef Nour and their team prepared and served our guests a feast to remember. Let’s start with what it’s like to work with Laura and the Melrose team: Laura is warm, easy-​going, and clearly knows her stuff. In addition to hiring Melrose to cater our wedding, we hired Laura as our day-​of coordinator. She took care of everything – coordinating the vendors, knowing where every little thing should go, knowing when to cue what music and what relatives. And the food: Months after our wedding, our friends are reminding us how delicious and memorable the food was. We served a Moroccan menu, family style. It was fun, flavorful, healthy, varied, beautifully presented, and delicious. Laura worked within our budget, and we couldn’t have been happier.

My husband and I hired Laura and Melrose Catering for our wedding this past June for one reason: the food! When we went for our tasting, everything they put on the table was delicious!!! The service and friendliness of the chef and Laura was a plus. On the day of they wedding, the food tasted exactly how we remembered it and all of our guests were amazed by the quality of taste. I can’t thank Laura and the staff enough for the service and the delicious food they provided. We used Laura and her company for our wedding. Being vegetarian finding a caterer that doesn’t just have a «default» vegetarian dish (eggplant Parm.) was very hard to find. When we saw their entire vegan menu as well as themed buffets we were sold. The fact that the food was delicious didn’t hurt either. We decided on a completely vegetarian Caribbean themed buffet. Some of our guests are «die-​hard» meat eaters and they raved about the food. Laura was very easy to work with in the entire planning process and it was obvious she had our best interests at heart. Her staff was punctual, professional and very friendly. They made our entire evening very enjoyable and fun. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We would definitely recommend them. We wanted to thank Laura, Nour, and their staff at Melrose Catering for making our wedding day, at the Retreat in Laguna, such an amazing event! The service staff and and set-​up staff were all very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. The food was delicious, ready on time, and the beverages were always aplenty.
I had my maid-​of-​honor working with everybody on the day of and she did say it was a pleasure to work with the staff as well. I’ve used this company for our annual event for at least 4 years in a row now. Always consistently good quality and reliable. I host an annual educational function for about 50 to 100 doctors. We order a variety of sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit salad, cookies, and assorted drinks for our lunch function. Every year I get approached by a few attendees that ask who catered the food because the food was so delicious. Even the vegetarian sandwiches were great. Very easy to deal with Laura. I typically communicate with her by email, she always remembers my function and asks how I want to modify it from the prior year. It’s great when someone remembers me and understands what I need. I don’t have to stress out over the meal part because I know she’ll take care of it properly and that allows me to concentrate on the function itself which is always stressful. I simply give her my last minute number of people attending a couple days before the event and she manages to get it all done, delivered, and cleaned up in a timely manner. Never late, always on time, neat, clean, and always delicious. Thanks Laura, our event went very well today and I look forward to working with you again next year.

I am a vegetarian and found it difficult to find a place with a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes that did not all include tofu. Chef Nour went over the menu with me for our event, and I ended up with a wide assortment of amazing appetizers and entrees. My guests were all impressed at the variety of foods and flavors in our spread, and even my omnivore friends were asking if they could take home the recipes! Thank you so much for the wonderful food and professional service, you really made my party a success! I will be calling you again soon as I am still thinking about that stuffed eggplant!

Hiring Melrose Catering to cater our wedding was one of the easiest decisions we made in the whole planning process. They became the caterer of choice for my family after they catered my sister’s wedding in September 2009 and blew everyone away with their delicious and unique food .
We hired them for a couple of birthday dinner parties after that and, seriously, every bite of food I’ve tasted from them has been absolutely off the hook. I especially appreciate how they can make dishes that are vegetarian/​vegan convertible — we are a family with meat eaters and vegans and everything in between, and every one of us is happy after a Melrose dinner.
Laura and Nour did a fabulous job of working with me to really understand what I wanted and handling so many details of the wedding reception — all of the rentals (from tables and table cloths to coat racks and hurricanes, bar service, set-​up and break-​down in ridiculously tight time-​frame). They really took ownership of the whole process and delivered a seamless event under some pretty crazy conditions.
I can highly recommend Melrose Catering for any occasion where you want local, fresh, unique, delicious food and great service.

I never even thought to review Laura until just now, and now I feel like such a bad customer for it!
Laura and Nour catered my wedding two years ago and filled all my friends and family with the most delicious foods we could have ever asked for. Bacon wrapped scallops with pineapple, chicken satay skewers, spanakopita, crab stuffed mushrooms, empanadas. Absolutely everything that they made, we ate and we loved. People still talk about the great food that we had at our wedding.
I’ve since then referred her to absolutely every friend I know who gets married or needs any type of catering, and I’ve used her for my company holiday parties as well, and let me tell you, the eggplant parmigana tastes better than an Italian Gramma’s.
And to top it off, affordable and friendly.

We had our wedding at Los Angeles River Center and Gardens in June. With an assortment of caters in the LA area, Melrose Catering proved to be the best.
Laura and her team made our day wonderful, the attention to detail, quality of food, preparation and clean-​up from start to finish was handled with the upmost professionalism. Melrose allowed us to take in the special day with no worries. We had a blast.

I worked with Laura from Melrose Catering for our wedding and had a great experience! Guests praised the food and though I didn’t get to eat much, the sampling I had was delicious. We expected we wouldn’t get to eat that day, so I’m glad we had the tasting! Laura was also kind enough to pack appetizers for us to take home, so we got to dine on the goodies for a few days after the wedding.
We wanted an all-​appetizer event, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere, where guests could graze on a variety of nibbles throughout the night. Laura worked with us to create the event we wanted, instead of pushing us toward a standard buffet or formal sit-​down set-​up. The appetizer stations were a big hit and people enjoyed being able to get whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. It really added to the fun vibe of the day, and I’m so happy we did it.
We’d looked at a dozen catering companies and Melrose was the clear winner. Their prices are great, their options are varied and their staff was on the ball at the event. The Melrose team was bussing, serving and even moved tables for us during the event, which was super nice. Most importantly, they listened to what WE wanted and executed it well.

We worked with Chef Nour and he was awesome! So thorough and attentive and also really nice. We loved all the staff that attended our wedding, they were extremely nice and hard working, every single one!
Everyone loved the Mediterranean inspired food we had and it got a lot of compliments! After the wedding everything was neatly packaged and given to us to take home. Such a class act through the whole experience, definitely will recommend them to any future weddings!

I attended my best friends wedding few weeks ago, Melrose catering did the food, and it was just exquisite, plentiful and beautifully displayed, the servers were on top of their game and everything went smooth.

Last year my grandma turned 100 years old we celebrated her birthday with a party and my good friend Nour at Melrose Catering cooked food for our party it was excellent everyone loved the food whole staff where very friendly if you need a wedding or any special event catered they will do and excellent job for you.
