Robert H. Gibson River Garden/ Strolling of the Heifers

The first time we traveled to Brattleboro many years ago this was the first place we stopped while exploring town. This community center located in the heart of Brattleboro is open to the public daily and provides a great space for community events.
Every year the night before Strolling of the Heifers this building hustles and bustles with vendors providing free samples of their homemade or locally made products. This year we tried out some incredible ciders here as well as some delicious callah.
The other great thing about this center is that the public can also rent it out. We have seen a few weddings held here and the last time we walked by there was a farmers market being held to support impoverished families in the area.
Overall, this building is a community/​welcome center by day but it turns into a variety of incredible cultural and community event spaces.
