Their service has gone down hill. The women that work there are polite but my coffee is never correct. Honestly go the extra 15 minutes and go to the one on Putney Rd. or Canal St.

This afternoon while passing through West Brattleboro we decided to pick up a quick cup of joe for the road. This particular Dunkin’ Donuts is situated in an interestingly shaped building. The inside can get cramped when it is busy and parking can be a bit of a pain. The employees here are polite and quick. The coffee here is pretty good as well. Overall, this is a typical Dunkin’ location and not a bad place to stop while passing through.

It almost seems like the rest room here is more popular than the coffee. Could it be that folks driving west on VT9 use this as a last spot for a pit stop and a snack before driving over the mountain?(If you know VT9, that really doesn’t have to be the case since there’s a lot of things just in Wilmington alone.) The store feels compact. There’s only one 1-stall rest room, so there’s occasionally a wait, and about 6 tables. The folks working here are really friendly and helpful. When I showed my AARP card for the free donut, they told me that was only available if I ordered a hot beverage — I had ordered a sandwich and iced tea — but that I could use the AARP card for a 10% discount on my purchase. Nice!

We don’t usually review the chains if we can avoid it, but this DD deserves a mention. First, we’re big fans of DD’s coffee — call it a guilty pleasure, if you wish — so we’re always stopping when we find one along the road. We’ve stopped here several times, and the service has been uncommonly good. Specifics: We got a large iced coffee and used an AARP card for a special promotion free donuts. The counter girls couldn’t find the correct code, and after a moment told us, «forget it. Here are your donuts. Enjoy.» A very simple act of courtesy, a very small moment admittedly, but one we really appreciated. We’ll keep stopping by here.
