Above Whippersnappers there is a restaurant with a big chicken not sure if it is the same. Worst breakfast I had in Branson. If you are staying at a hotel that offers free breakfast just eat at your hotel.

Of you want the Dollar Tree of seafood come here… The only value is your in Branson, MO. Awful atmosphere, awful smells, no air conditioning. I have know idea if it was truly lobster. .they are eight inches long, ¼ lb maybe only only claw. now then the snow crab was fair. The sides all factory made. No pictures because of slimy hands… So I will not be back… No desserts. Almost fell onu ass walking on the freshly oiled floor, butter maybe or the water they steamedthe food in. So if you just got out of a prisoner of war camp it would do…

Yummy, is what we can say, we love crab legs and lobster. It is a seafood buffet, with lobster on buffet also. You are suppose to take one lobster at a time but can eat as many as you want. We look around and some people can not read the sign I guess because they take 2 – 3 at a time. Great food

I read the reviews of this place and for the most part the review by RH is spot on. With tempered expectations I was happy with the buffet. You are eating all you can eat whole lobsters no where near an ocean. This place wouldn’t survive in New England but you aren’t in Maine. I feel the bad reviews were not entirely justified. The staff are very attentive and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. My father in law has been here a number of times and always comes back. Apparently they make a jambalaya that is fantastic but didn’t have it today. The lobster are not as sweet as many I have had but I didn’t feel they were over cooked or rubbery. If you are looking for a spectacular lobster dinner maybe a buffet isn’t the place to find it. The snow crab legs were cooked properly, nice sized and delicious. Fresh cornbread was brought to our table that was really good. Sure it’s there to fill you on something less expensive but it’s tasty and I don’t feel I wasted«space» on it. One of the cooks offered to make us some extra spicy crawfish. I don’t love crawfish but this is what I needed to really like them. If Gaylord offers you something spicy just know he’s serious about flavor using a concoction of 3 hot sauces to satisfy your craving.

The service is the best about this place. The women who work here are excellent and very friendly! Hard to find Sea food was cold I had a steak that was undercooked and of low quality. Hard to chew.

This place was the worst place to eat. The lobster was way overcooked so it was tough and the craw fish was done the same way. To me it seemed as if they took the leftover lobster from the night before and just reboiled it to heat it up. Very expensive meal for crappy food.

Cost was outrageous. $ 40 per person, including kids. Food on the buffet all looked over cooked and may have been setting there for over an hour. The dessert bar was a total joke. I wouldn’t give this place any stars, but that isn’t a choice on Unilocal

It may be exactly what you think it is going to be. I went with my father(a huge buffet fan, me not so much), because my mother won’t go to places like this. The premise is all you can eat lobster and crab, along with about 20 other«seafood» options. $ 40 a head for all you can eat is pretty good. The lobster is edible, but not great. The crab legs were actually pretty good. I got a spoonfull of some of the other stuff, i.e. shrimp, crabcakes?, corn… It was all like a golden corral, over breaded and overcooked. servers were really nice. I didn’t hate it, but I understand why some people would. If you are cheap or extremely picky and pretentious, stay away! If you are okay with stuffing your face with mediocre seafood, then this is your place. I am sure that I will return at some point, and I won’t put up too much of a fight.

This place is the biggest rip off in Branson. $ 40 all you can eat buffet? It was more like Styrofoam buffet with some lettuce & cheese(that’s what they advertise as a salad bar). Everything was tasteless! Our kids even ordered of the kid menu. Mac & cheese, but the cheese was non existent. A burger we could’ve ordered from the $ 1 menu at McDonald’s. It had no vegetables, just meat & processed cheese. Popcorn shrimp that was all bread & no shrimp. Oh & the 2 lovely buffets for the adults. Yes, that was sarcastic.

Four stars for a buffet for sure! We spent about the same at Joe’s Crab Shack and I didn’t feel as though we got as much as we should have for the price. The lobster was a little over cooked but the crab legs were as good as you can expect to find in MO. Plus, their green beans and red skin mashed potatoes were amazing!!!

Waitress is very nice and a hard worker. It’s a seafood buffet, can’t expect 10 start buffet. Lobster is a bit rubbery but still better then cooking one that’s $ 18. Price was fair because imagine paying the market price if you ate it regular and not buffet. Where I come, is rare to see a seafood(lobster) buffet besides casino and in vegas. All in all I’ll come back again.

Are here many years ago and it was excellent. Now not so much. Lobster is rubbery(think this means it was cooked too long) and the crab legs weren’t much better. Really wish they would get with the program and return to their former glory.

Service was good but the food wasn’t that great. Lobster was very rubbery. Crab legs were good. Way overpriced at 39 dollars a plate even for kids no matter the age. Won’t go again!!!

Zero stars if I could. Everything was gross. I tried all the seafood and most of the sides… nothing tasted right. It was either overcooked or stale. When we sat down she straight up told us the buffet was $ 19.99 a person, got the bill and it was $ 97. She came back over and said«starting at» 19.99 meaning just soup, salad, and shrimp. Literally WTF… how are you going to screw your customers over like that when it really costs $ 39.99?! Nasty

Looks like fresh lobster, right? It isn’t. Obviously pre-cooked/frozen & then warmed up. Which could be okay if it tasted ok. But they Lobster meat is mushy & looks kinda like the lobster might have died before they cooked & froze it. Also something is wrong with butter they serve. It is either really old butter or has been warmed for too long. Crab legs were better, but still not good. Rest of food on buffet was marginal. Best item that tasted normal was the little shrimp. The cocktail sauce for shrimp was tasty also. Buffet is not worth $ 39.00 a person!

My boyfriend bought me to Branson for a birthday weekend getaway. A friend of his referred us to Whipper’s, saying it was a good seafood buffet and that we should try it. Well, despite the bad reviews, my boyfriend and I had a good time. We were greeted upon entering. The waitresses were really nice, especially the one dedicated to us. If you’re a crab lover, this is the place for you. I don’t too much care for the crab in the first place, but the catfish and popcorn shrimp were AMAZING. The décor remained me of an old school diner. The restaurant was clean and orderly. Now, the price is a bit steep, $ 40 per person; however, they let you know that BEFORE you eat, so no surprises when the bill comes. If we decide to come back to Branson, we will visit again. I definitely recommend you give it a try.

Despite all the bad reviews I read before I came here for dinner tonight. I really enjoyed my dinner. Because I’m a crab legs fan and not so much a lobster fan. The lobster was overlooked but the crab legs were delicious. For the price and for what I ate, it was well worth the money. They could do so much better with the shrimp size but other than that I thought it was good. Our server was gracious and really helpful when it came to showing us how to shell our lobster. I would come back again

Atmosphere is like an old time diner. Everything was clean though. Staff was very friendly and efficient even though very busy. Good seafood for being 600 miles from any ocean. While most on this review say its not a good option, the place was packed and didn’t see anybody pushing their food away.
