VERY DISAPPOINTED. I moved here from the area from Chicago and chose this practice because the physicians all seemed to have good reviews. However, at my first appointment I was told that I would NEVER see a physician and that I would only be seeing a midwife (unless a medical issue arose that the midwife would not be able to handle). This was not what I was told when I schedule — I was told my 1^st appointment would be with the midwife and then I would rotate through the physicians (to be familiar with anyone who would deliver the baby). There was also no rotation schedule — I would be seeing the same midwife the entire time and I would be unlikely that she would be delivering the baby (they share on call times with County Group every other day, and there are 3 other midwives in this practice). When I got to the appointment, the midwife (Melissa) had not even looked at my chart until she got in the room with me (despite the fact that it had been there for 2 weeks) and gave very vague and unclear answers to my questions. After this appointment, I promptly decided to switch practices. On top of everything else, they refused to release my chart in its entirety — they would only release my information from the one visit with them (which they said would take 1 – 2 weeks). Thank goodness my OB/​GYN from the Chicago area was amazing — they faxed the info right away to the new practice.

When I was working in Branford, I picked this practice based on how close it was to my work. Having recently moved to Mass, it says a lot that I am DEVASTATED to have to leave this practice and Dr. Adsuar. I’ve recommended the practice and her specifically to 2 friends and both have been super happy — one even makes it a point to make me jealous for still being able to go there for her pregnancy!
The office is just great — several locations for convenience, weekend and evening hours, etc. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors are super happy and helpful, just great people. When I was having trouble with a birth control prescription, they got me in right away and the sympathy and compassion was genuine. Dr. Adsuar especially makes me feel so comfortable and at ease during a time that could be really uncomfortable and stressful in someone else’s hands (and both friends I referred here said the same thing!). She also took the time on several occasions to talk with me and find the best options for birth control for me.
I really can’t say enough good things about this practice and I’m so sad I won’t be able to see Dr. Adsuar and the CNMs at this group anymore.
