OASIS is a family-​owned business that first opened on April 1, 2003 with the vision to create a sanctum of peace and tranquility for Connecticut residences. With more than 20 years of experience in providing excellent care and service, OASIS is the newest of three stores operated by Haesoon Koh.

The philosophy behind Oasis is very simple: provide a haven of serenity and rest for our clients through excellent customer service and achieve the highest level of client satisfaction and pleasure. Our exceptional group of talented spa therapists and professionally licensed staff are dedicated to maintaining a quality of care that we can all be proud of.

We use EPA-​Registered Hospital Grade Disinfection, the highest level of cleansing and disinfection, to sanitize and individually package all our instruments after every use. We are proud to provide the best for our clients in all facets of our service, and we will continually aspire to meet the highest standard possible.

«Walk into Oasis Spa in Madison on Wall Street, and the first thing you notice, past the manicure and pedicure stations, is the polished baby grand piano on a raised platform. On the walls are glamour shots of owner Helen Koh, a Korean-​born opera singer.

Koh dresses with dramatic flair and is impeccably groomed. She flashes a big smile and sometimes will sing a song for regular customers, at times bringing them to tears with her sweet, ringing voice.

Back to the spa, it’s not hard to see why Oasis was voted number one in this category for their salons (two in Madison, two in Guilford and one in Branford). At the Wall Street location downtown Madison, the walls and mosaic tile work are done in serene sea foam and aqua, contrasting with the warm cherry hardwood floors and trim in this updated antique building, where the interior is modern chic.»

Had the worse pedicure if my life! She didn’t take all my old nail polish off and I got the French nail so you can see my old purple nail polish underneath. What I was supposed to get for $ 40 wasn’t worth $ 1.00. She didn’t trim my nails, remove any cuticle. And I did say something but the owner stood next to me the whole time so the parishioners would see or hear me and of course they were acting like I was the bad guy. The girl didn’t know how to do the French nail so some one else had to do it. My restitution was take $ 5 off the bill and give me a $ 20 gift certificate like I’m really gonna go back there! My feet looked worse going out than I went in. On a scale from 1 – 10 I would give this place a –5. That was way too much stress for me at a place you go to relax!

This place is great! Good for a wax, gel manicure and pedicure. They will always get you in no matter how busy they are. Jessica is the best! She is so friendly the entire staff is. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I wish it were more affordable but you pay for what you get and they do a good job!

I have never been more disappointed with a pedicure as I was today. Went into Oasis to get a much needed pedicure since I was in Branford, CT visiting a sick family member. I was in town from out of state and missed my regular monthly pedicure appointment back home in SC so I choose Oasis because of the convenience of its location. What should have been a 45 – 60 minute pedicure ended up lasting only 25 minutes. Told the ladies that I really needed to have my heels taken care of cause they dry out during the winter months. One of the ladies said if I wanted her to use a callus removing gel it would cost $ 50 for a pedicure! What the heck… it’s not like my heels were covered in scales, just wanted extra attention done on my heels. I declined to have the «extra» treatment and opted for a regular pedicure which was $ 32. Needless to say I don’t recommend Oasis for a pedicure, way to expensive and not enough time spent preparing your feet to smoothness. One plus is that the salon is very clean.

Ah, Oasis.
We’ve been in a long-​term relationship but I think it’s time to break up. Your interior decorating needs a facelift, you’re too small to hold more than about 4 clients at once, you always seem to be talking about your clients in another language, it’s just not an entirely relaxing experience.
I know some women swear by Oasis. Don’t get me wrong. I used to as well. I grew up in Branford and in Oasis.
But I’m a big girl now, and I know what it means to be given the royal treatment without paying royal costs. Oasis’ actual nailwork is fine. Just not worth the cost or enduring its sad ambience.

Love this place! Very clean, friendly, affordable, nice atmosphere. All the technicians are great. I had Jenny for gel manicure and she did a fantastic job! She’s very professional, made me feel very comfortable. Their pedicures are also amazing! I was so relaxed there. This will be my nail place from now on!

I have never paid $ 110 for a gel manicure before, so I could not believe that they did nothing to my cuticles or hands. No scrub no lotion no nothing… Just the UV gel. I ended up having to go back a second time because it was done imperfectly… I am not one of those girls who enjoys sitting at the salon all day. I love to get in, get my service done and get out. I like results, and I pay top dollar for an A+ job, and I overtip for great service. The original full set I had put on was subpar. When I went back I explain this and showed the technician who greeted me what was wrong, she agreed to fix it, but clearly was not overjoyed to do so. The boy who fixed the job was named Ennis. he was outstanding, paid great attention to detail, and I will go back just for him. But I am still going to check other salons for cheaper prices, because they charge 60 or 70 for a fill and that’s ridiculous. I know a salon in town that charges 65 for a full set and it’s just as nice, but it’s not in the center of town.

Oasis used to be the spot for a great manicure/​pedicure. Not so much anymore. With their name, décor, and general ambiance, they trick you into thinking you’re at an upscale spa. Therefore, you should be okay with paying spa-​like prices. The experience however, is the complete opposite of a spa.
All of their locations are clean, I’ll give them that. To me, cleanliness is hands down the most important aspect of a nail salon, but the positives end there. Their pedicures are mediocre, their manicures are okay, and their gel manicures are some of the worst I’ve ever gotten. I would be okay with this if I was paying normal prices, however they’re priced significantly higher than other salons in the area.
Service is okay, they’re definitely trying to just get people in and out as fast as possible. Again, this would be acceptable if they weren’t trying to make it seem like a spa experience and charge you as such. Meh. It’s not a bad place, but here are much better nail salons in the area that are priced more fairly than Oasis.

It’s a beautiful atmosphere with friendly smiles. My favorite part is that everyone says helllo and goodbye as you enter and leave. Makes you feel special every time you walk through the door. Ask for Teebe ! She is such a sweet heart!

Generally, I really like Oasis. I prefer this one to the Madison one because the Madison place has a cranky waxing lady (maybe manager?) who I don’t enjoy. This Oasis has very friendly staff people and they give superb pedicures. They massage each one of your legs, use a hot stone on your legs and feet and put little baggies of wax on your heels. They also come over and massage your back for a couple of minutes.
They are generally good at waxing eyebrows too.
The last time I went wasn’t as great as other times, I asked to have my nails done but not polished and they literally just cut my nails, filed them, and charged me full price for a manicure. No cuticles, no hand massage, no nothing. I wasn’t that jazzed about my last experience there, but I will still go back. The place can get busy so it is better to go at quieter times.
Another good thing about this place is that it doesn’t usually stink to high heaven of chemicals, unlike many other nail places.

Hit or miss on the manicures.
Sometimes you’ll get someone who takes care, cleans up cuticles and your nails look great. Other times your nails will look slightly better than the same as when you walked in. It can be frustrating.

I’ve been getting my UV gel nails and pedicures done at Oasis Branford since they opened 10 years ago. I am very pleased with my nails and get lots if compliments. The store is spotless, all the manicurists and pedicurists are very knowledgeable and friendly and GENTLE! My UV gel nails last over 2weeks and there are no chips or breaks. Sticking with Oasis for 10 years is a testimony to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Oasis Nails.

great experience. this place does opi axxium color gel manicures ($ 35) and they have a ton of colors. plus all the nail people are licensed in massage so in addition to my 10 min complimentary massage, I got an extra 15 min one which was heavenly. the place is really nice and the people were super friendly, I will definitely go back.

I’m really disappointed that I can’t give this place a better review — when I walked in, the salon looked pristine. And in terms on cleanliness, I think this place is pretty good.
However, I really, really did not like the woman who did my nails. If you happen to go to Oasis, she’s a middle-​aged woman with short, wavy hair. If I were you, I’d avoid her.
The first thing that really bugged me was her insistence on cutting my cuticles. I always ask that my cuticles be left alone and no one has ever bothered me about it. But this lady just kept asking. I hardly ever get a pedicure and when I do, it’s nice to relax. It’s not nice to listen to someone whine about how your nails won’t look nice unless you succumb to their ever wish. I finally thought she had given up, but then she she reached my pinky toe, where I had a microscopic piece of skin that wasn’t perfectly in line … She signed loudly and said, «oh, your nails just won’t be beautiful.»
For just this, I’d have given Oasis three stars. But they lose another star because the woman doing my nails cut my nails so short that now they really hurt. I had to ask her not to file my nails because it was too painful. This is inexcusable. My big toes are uncomfortable and I’ll probably end up soaking them in hot water until the nail polish just falls off.
One final annoyance — when I paid with my credit card, the woman at the front didn’t ask if I wanted to leave a tip. I had no cash with me and when I asked if I could put the tip on the card she told me it was too late and I should have told her I wanted to pay more. Perhaps this is standard, but I’ve never had this occur anywhere else.
